Sprained ankle + other ankle problems = % workout

So for over a week I've been having probs with the ankle, stopped the JM 30DS last wednesday and haven't done it since. Went to the ER twice and the conclusion is that I have a sprained ankle and I've damaged ligaments and god knows what else, so I'm not allowed to step, walk, sit with the leg down or anything, have to keep the foot up 24/7, no pressure on it or anything. Not allowed to swim or ride my bike for a while, only crutches if I have to get something from the kitchen or bathroom.
My weight has been at a standstill (thx god), been sticking with my diet, trying to do some pilates but it's hard when the ankle is such a huge mess.
SO.. was wondering if any of you tried the JM 30DS without jumping/standing/squats, just sitting?? I thought about doing it while sitting down, with the leg on a pillow/chair, but am not sure how effective it will be? Of course I won't burn the same amount of calories but just to get some form of exercise would be nice. So what do you guys think?

swimming, keep the wait off, relax, or go old school and just sit in the steam room for ages or sauna.0
