    Good morning!

Frankie let me sleep in until 6:30 this morning!

I am feeling a lot better now. I'm still feeling weakness and still have some cough, but I am doing much better. I hope to get the yard mowed today before some much needed rain moves in this afternoon. I have not mowed in three weeks. My yard is very tall, and will look like crap going through the mulching blades, but it is what it is.

I will also try to get a few more things done around the house without overdoing it.

Dave, looking forward to hearing how your cruise went.

    Have a great day!

    Good morning gentlemen.

I had fun on the cruise, I suppose, but really don't think cruising is my thing. They take very good care of you, but the ports are so touristy that you don't really get a feel for the area you visit. On board activities were great fun for the younger members of our party. I enjoyed watching them. Wave riding and rock climbing are not things this old guy is capable of, anymore. Rita spent one rough day seasick and ended the cruise coming down with a cold. I remained unscathed. I did gain 5 lbs., however. Sigh.

Sassy was overjoyed to see me, when I picked her up, as expected. I mowed the shaggy lawn yesterday. Today I'll do maintenance on the mower, I think. It is getting very fall-like, here. Nights are quite cool, and the air is very smokey from fires to our south. That has me thinking about getting ready for winter.

    Good Morning

I am glad you are doing better, Steve.

After our Alaska Cruise, our feeling is we would love to just roam around and drink in the beauty. The state is just so deceptively huge it would be challenging to see much except one area.

20+ degree drop today to get us to 85. There may be dancing in the street. An oppressive 10 days. It is the worst stretch we have ever had. I look forward to moving to a more humane climate. Off to recycling in a bit. US Open Women's finals today should be great especially if Ms Swiatek is on her game, but both players have been off their game at times. I am liking Casper Rudd for the Men's. Tennis withdrawal begins in 48 hours. I do love the sport. I wish I hadn't quit playing it decades ago.

The smoke hit with a vengeance here last night and this morning. Pretty smoky for those who are sensitive.
US open should be interesting. I am especially looking forward to the me4ns final tomorrow with Alcaraz and Ruud. Alcaraz was truly amazing playing Tiafoe.
Not doing much outside today with the smoke.
