    G'Morning,

    Today is 10-07. A great friend of mine (former LEO) passed away of ALS a while ago and his family created the 10-07 Legacy Foundation to honor him (raising money for scholarships etc). I always get choked up on 10-07 (the call sign for "off duty/off watch").

    Dennis - I guess I get to wear some ATL swag from the back of my closet to a few weeks :-). Chop Chop (wait, are we allowed to say that or is that Un/PC now too)?

    Glad you are feeling better in IN! Happy Hour to celebrate a friends birthday was last night we too had fun (didn't have to cook)!

    Retirement cookout for a former firefighter colleague tomorrow. Man, seems like yesterday we were at the academy together! 3 decades went by FAST!

    Cheers for a great long (whatever name we are allowed to use) weekend!

    Good morning.

    Reenty after only 1 day out was miserable. 60+ emails awaited me including a ridiculous 13 reply-all emails to schedule something.

    We don't have anything planned for the weekend except to stay away from downtown because the Austin City Limits Festival is going on this weekend and next.

    • Skip, I know the swallowing issue is no fun, but the weight loss looks good on you.
    • I've been Un/PC for a long time. It really upsets some that the Braves have a good relationship with the Easter Band of the Cherokee Indians. Go Braves!
    • I am missing Stella. I hope she comes home today or tomorrow.
    • Enjoy your fall weekend at the lake Mary.
    • There was a time I would have wanted to be in Austin this weekend.
    • Great jazz concert last night at Festival Hall.

    Skip, Dennis is Right! But your health is important, so hopefully they get it fixed.

    Bet there's some great bands there though Lou. I get it, I've not been into big crowds lately either! I do watch Austin City Limits on PBS....

    I'm packing my mittens and scarf I'm likely going to need them.

    Wonder how our resident canine actors gig went? Maybe Raine will check in!

    Sunny and cool this morning, warming into 80's
    Working at Collinswood this afternoon getting ready for Emmaus walk next week., now
    I watered okra the other day, now it needs picking again
    Tomorrow going to cousins get together which we have not done since 1989.

    Made enough chicken curry, last night, for three suppers we'll eat it again tonight, and put the third dinner int he freezer for some time when we just don't want to cook.

    Went to choir practice last night, for the first time in six months. I have really missed singing with that group.
