✈️DESTINATION - Victoria, Canada 6,000 Miles & Food Diary & Make Bed

The challenge begins on Saturday morning. Exercise & Make Bed & Food Diary done before SATURDAY DOES NOT COUNT!!!!

Skip the crowds of London, England and head to the old-world charm of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. With deep ties to Britain and colonial architecture, you may second guess if you’ve accidentally crossed an ocean. While Victoria is much smaller than London, there are many similar experiences. Double-decker buses, horse drawn carriages, afternoon tea, homes that look like castles, and pubs with names like the Sticky Wicket and the Penny Farthing... Victoria has long traded on its British affiliations. Fish-and-chips are first class and summer cricket games enliven Beacon Hill Park.

Experience the storied Fairmount Empress Hotel (aka Castle on the Coast), a luxury waterfront hotel and national historic site. It sits amid the landmark Legislature Buildings, Royal BC Museum, and the Inner Harbour. It has picturesque Château-style design and decadent antique interiors. Enjoy the pomp and grandeur at afternoon high tea, in the elegant tea room with beautiful views of the harbor. This may be the only time you meet a tea sommelier.

Enjoy a tour of Craigdarroch Castle, visit the many art galleries, or walk the famous Butchart Gardens, a National Historic Site of Canada known for its groups of floral display gardens.

Fun Facts:
Victoria The Garden City, is considered to be the prettiest city in Canada.
Victoria was named one of the Friendliest Cities in the World.
The are 1,600 lampposts with hanging flower baskets.
Half a million cups of tea are served annually at the Fairmont Empress.

📝Living the Good Life - Exercise & Make Your Bed & Food Diary

Making your bed first thing in the morning is a simple habit to start. When daily bed-making becomes a keystone habit, it can kickstart a chain of other good decisions throughout the day; and gives you a sense of taking charge. In time it can lead to other good habits and healthier lifestyle.

A tidy bed will make even a messy room seem cleaner and less cluttered. A poll conducted by the National Sleep Foundation found that people who make their bed in the morning are 19 percent more likely to have a good night's sleep, every night. At the end of the day there’s nothing nicer than getting into a nicely made bed, "And a made bed gives you encouragement that tomorrow will be better,” said Adm. McRaven.

Please listen to these words of encouragement. https://bit.ly/3CFzzJu

*If your partner wakes up later than you do, you only have to make YOUR side of the bed.
*If it's laundry day, obviously you can make the bed after you wash the sheets.

Yeah. The only hard bit is the exercise. The other two are second nature
