Good Morning

Sorry to be up at 2:30 to kick this off. I had another bad day with my back yesterday and despite a couple of ice/TENS sessions and staying on Tylenol ER it wore me down and I opted to switch to Norco at bedtime rather than Tramadol which brought good relief and quick sleep. Unfortunately, sometimes it does funny things with my sleep. But pain levels are still down for my back and knee. I imagine there will be some nodding off during the day. Oh well, it was worth it to silence things for a bit. An exciting day of slowly picking things up and cleaning here and there with continuing to work on my music "skills". We will be back in the 90s as summer puts up a fight. I will need to water this morning.

    Good morning!

Bill, I am sorry that you are going through so much with your back. I am praying that you find consistent relief.

Today is the second morning of record low temps. As I type this, it is 16 degrees out. It will still drop before daylight. But, the pendulum swings hard here. We are supposed to have three days in a row of 80 at the end of this week. Still no rain in sight.

I am hoping to start closing August today at work. When you get far behind, it is just like being in a pressure cooker every day. I made just a little progress yesterday, but I think that we finally have all of our pricing for our products set for next year. With over 800 different SKUs to figure the costing on so that we can set pricing on the 100+ SKUs that we sell, there is a lot there. I have several days wrapped up in this. It has become a semi-annual project with all of the fluctuations in costs and supply chain issues.

I cannot seem to make any progress on my weight. I have a doctor appointment tomorrow morning to look at a growth on my left temple. I hope that he does not want to put me on a statin for my cholesterol.

    Have a great day!

Sorry to hear that Bill. Back pain is just the worst. I tooand sending my best thoughts and prayers that you will find some relief.
I hear ya Steve about the statin regimen. I feel fortunate that my Dr has cooled her heels about having me use statins.

Up early myself as I normally don't feel great in the mornings.

We have had crazy dry and warm/"hot" weather for us in the PacNW. In PDX we finallyt have had a couple of nights in the 40s and daytime in the low 70s but it is suppose to hit 80° again today. That would make 13 days in Oct in the 80s. Most years we have no more than 1 day if any that warm. Previous record was 6 days in the 80s. We are finally suppose to get more fall like weather by Friday with a good spell of colder wet days.
    Take care all

    Mornin' gents.

Chilly here at 32 degrees. We could not bring in the hibiscus because of a pot failure and DW did not want a re-potting to happen inside the house. Hope it isn't too frost bit. New pot should arrive today.
That is a crazy pendulum swing from 16 to 80 degrees.
Sorry about the bad night, Bill. Does hydro therapy help your back at all?
Mike, glad you got the wiring done with minimal effort and it is functional.
I too continue to struggle with weight loss. I think I need a muzzle, or maybe start tracking again. :|

    Be OP ;-)

    Good morning gentlemen.

Getting out the door for a hike in Mt. Rainier N.P. It should be in the 50s there, today, and sunny. They forecast snow Friday, so this is my last chance to get up to the high meadows this year.

Lee, I saw a story yesterday, about a boy attacked by a bear in his grandfather's back yard, in Morris, CT. How far is that from you? (Nothing is too far away in Connecticut by Western standards).

LOL Lee and his feeding muzzle. Reminds me of when folks had their jaws wired shut for medical reasons.
I told my WW friends I am allergic to Cinnabons (they make me break out in fat all over!)

Mornin'. Frost here too when I woke up.

I must be allergic to donuts, muffins, pizza, sticky buns, .... Our pastor, who has gained mucho weight since he got here a few years ago, has tried various programs. He told our Bible study last week that he's now eating once a day, at dinner time. Hard to imagine. Seems to be handling that okay and looks like he's finally losing weight as well.

Trying to understand tongue weight and towing... Some tell me it's just the weight the trailer's coupler presses down on the hitch ball, others say it includes the weight of the hitch that's bolted to the car. My RAV4 has a tongue-weight limit of only 150#, so it makes a big difference.

Doing some extra stuff on piano, using jazz chords, while I'm learning simple note-reading pieces in my weekly lessons. Tenderly, Fly Me To the Moon, Moon River. I kind of hack them up, but with practice they can be passable. This hobby is addictive.

Getting out for a hike today no matter what. Yesterday I intended to and got out at sunset for a mere 20 minute walk.

16º to 80º is crazy weather.

Morris is the town I live in. The boy was attacked within a stone's throw of my property. We have a problem.
