Heavy frost this morning. I was a couch potato all of yesterday despite intentions of driving to some waterfalls for a hike up and then 4 miles around the lake. I need to start walking early in the day, maybe before breakfast even, to jump-start my body and find motivation.

For now, coffee, and we'll start that jump-starting thing first thing tomorrow...

    Mornin' gents.

Work and then driving to Finger Lakes region for a trial tomorrow. Driving along the East Branch of the Delaware is always good scenery, even though all the leaves are down.
Am totally off prednisone for a week now. Was on 2mg daily for a long time, but Rheum Doc wants me off it completely. Needing two celebrex daily without it. Took three yesterday after a particularly active Thursday. Am going to continue for 6-8 weeks without it before considering restarting.
Sometimes you just need a day, Mike.

    Be OP ;-)

    Good morning!

No frost here this morning, but it was a chilly 37 when I got up.

    Mike, rest days are good.

Lots of errands and chores today.

Lee, good luck at trials tomorrow.

    Sam, are you doing OK?

    Have a great day!

    Good morning gentlemen.

Carpooling with DS and family, down to Portland for a family function celebrating brother's 50th wedding anniversary (which was two weeks ago) and mother's 99th birthday (which is next week). My niece set it all up at a restaurant in Portland, rather than Salem, to put it a little closer to those of us living to the north. Rita is staying home with Sassy.

My right hip has really been giving me issues, lately. For years, I have had pain on my left side. Docs have never been able to tie down whether it is neurological or tendonitis. Now I seem to have something similar on the right side. It's always something. A lidocaine patch and Motrin are my friends.

    Good Morning My Achey Friends

I have had sore hips that made lying on my side stimulating. In my case, it was tight, spasmed hip flexors. The muscle relaxors I was on recently got them to loosen and stay loose otherwise it was rolling and or a massage gun session or two. But the fun part of all this is that the pain may be the same but the causes may vary.

My Pain Dr has decided that since I may or may not have had a TIA stroke they will wait 6 months before doing any epidurals etc, basically leaving me few options. I was less than thrilled. I will sort out my own treatment plan going forward and check in with them when I need my prescriptions renewed. I am easing off the muscle relaxors and stopping the pain meds since Norco and/or Tramadol don't help much with nerve pain. Heather and my son are heading to the ocean for an early birthday outing for him. I am staying home to give my knees a chance to get max benefit from the injection. Covid booster was effortless, painless and besides a slightly sore arm, no ill effects have appeared.

Good luck Lee with your weaning off prednisone trial. Oh and of course good luck in the dog trials.
Dave: Have a joyous time celebrating your brother's 50th wedding anniversary and your mom's 99th b-day.
Yup hang in there achy friends all!!
Oh my Bill so sorry about your pain. My covid booster was easy too like yours.

Misty morning but will be a dryish fall day today until late tomorrow.
