Missed an entire day yesterday. Down for the count since about Midday on Monday. Bad flu bug; chills; coughing. Woke up yesterday with worst headache ever. DW suggested I take a home test. Lo' and behold 2.5 years into this *kitten* show, I popped positive and sporting a 101 temp! ugh.
Going to stay isolated upstairs as long as possible and away from DW/DMIL.
Meeting (virtually) with surgeon today. I officially hit 180's over the weekend. A new record in my weigh loss journey! Something's gotta give!

PS: DW took Tucker to Dogtopia yesterday so I could sleep. And this happened 🐾🐾🐾

The movie premier was a pretty nice event last night. I'm sure I'll be more critical as the last of the bills roll in though. But, we had longhorns for some reason, so yay!

Families drama are a real pain, I've gotten where we tell them what we are doing and if they want to take part fine if not that's OK also. Like Thanksgiving, told everyone we were fixing turkey, dressing, ham, green beans, rolls, sweet potatoes and DW will fix some kind of cake; in and everyone are welcome; but if they have something to do that's OK also. DD is bringing some friends who did not have anywhere to go.
Off to yoga, then working at lodge prepping for floor.0 -

We're doing Thanksgiving at DS and DDIL's. Her folks will be there, too. That's a perfect group, for me. I am going to bring the dressing and a corn pudding.
Just watched a rerun of last night's Artemis launch. Took me back to the Apollo launches of the 60s.0 -

I know how you feel dodging it all this time up til 3mo ago... then I catch it babysitting.
I refuse to engage in holiday drama. I gave that up the last Xmas I was married back in 2000, on my inlaw side, most holidays ended up a $hatshow. 21 years since, my holidays are exactly how I want them, happy. No drunkards, no one arguing...
Ds1 comes in Wed. to Fri nite. Im taking off pto/holiday wed,thur fri . Ds1 has to get back to DC to work Sat and for game on Sunday. Thanksgiving Thursday we are spending with all 4 of our kids, and their 2 spouses = 8 of us, at a nice restaurant in the country, called The Fox and Hounds supper club in Hubertus WI. Google it.
I'm happy to get a break from cooking the bird this year. Then Friday my ds2 and ddil are hosting dinner for 26. Their first. He is smoking 2 x 16lb birds.
Everyone is bringing a side, desert etc.
Probably get & cut our fresh tree Sat.after Thanksgiving and decorate it Sun. $12/ft. Probably get a 6 footer.
Tonight I made and finished 2 candy cane wreaths for outside on my porch columns ...candy canes are the theme for my outdoor pots, planter boxes too.
I see WW changed up the plan again. Lots of chatter on social media from members not feeling the love it seems?
