    Really amazing day out with my dogs and other people's dogs in spite of the cold and wind. It helped that I was constantly moving. After the trial was over and I had given out placements, one of that club's members let me take Lucy for quick walk with our shotguns. That was the BEST part of the day...she put on a real show.
    Congrats on paying off the mortgage on the church's building, Dave. That is a big deal.
    Cold and clear this morning...racoon somehow is getting into pigeon coop (pigeons for dog training) and there was a bit of a massacre. Only three pigeons left in coop. The murderer got three. Blood and feathers everywhere. I will have to do a better job securing the coop.

    Morning~

    Late start. Up most of night coughing..... Tested with another home test this morning.....still showing positive. DW still down for count too. DMIL too and has bad diarrhea from the Paxlovid her doc gave her. It's a total *kitten* show in the house. Made appt for CVS Minit Clinic this afternoon......

    Cancelled DBIL and family from coming this upcoming weekend. Cancelled Turkey invite to other DBIL w/ nieces (30+ expected in attendance). Instead ordered a meal to go from Cracker Barrel for just DMIL, DW and I.

    Sorry to hear about the Pigeons. Raccoon had a good (cheap) meal :neutral: Pics of Lucy? I know she love her some field time!

    Hope Steph/Ron are enjoying Havana. We are freezing baguettes off up here!

    Racoons want to eat also, though we have way too many around here and their environment is disappearing.

    Really sorry about your family Covid bout, Skip. Hope you all get better soon.

    Raccoons look cute, but they can be pretty vicious. A few years back a neighbor had an (illegal) chicken coop. A raccoon got in and killed all his chickens.

    I wish I could spend this afternoon watching World Cup soccer (US v. Wales), but suspect DW will have other plans for my time.

    • It turned cold here. I think the overnight low was in the upper 20s.
    • I can only imagine the fear the 3 surviving pigeons experienced.
    • Get well wishes to my friends in Aldie.
    • I am timing out of the HOA finance committee, so I need to interview some replacements today.

    2 day work week for me ...so I've been at since 6am.

    I pick up my new hearing aids this afternoon. Can't believe I've had this first pair 7yrs already. Hope these new ones serve me well.

    Hope Aldie clan gets better soon! Smart and considerate choice to cancel people plans. Hope Cracker Barrell severs you to go well. I bet it'll be good.

    Sounds like you had fun Lee. Other than the mess in the coop.
    Lucy sure is a go getter!
