    G'Morning

Sick today (well, not really, but I ate alot of humble pie yesterday)!

Think we salvaged deal and got reduction on lot premium (against my better judgment)! Will find out more around lunchtime today.

Meeting @ Georgetown didn't go really well. The barium results from last week show the plumbing is still awry and food is still not passing. He's got me back on the table this Friday. Alas, we had to cancel our NC trek to look at a potential build there. Back to square one for holidays - 6 weeks restricted "splat" diet again while this heals.

Tucker cracks me up. Son has a custom Yeti food and water bowls with his name on it. Has recently stopped eating out of the Yeti bowl and prefers his chow to be mixed (kibble, rice, and a spoonful of moist mixed in) and served in, of all things, an old Cool Whip bowl. He's a trip!

Debating whether to put of Christmas tree - knowing we will have some showings in/out over next few weeks. I vote leave it in the box and basement. I suspect DW will have other ideas.

    Cheers,
    Skipper

    Good morning BBB friends.

I'm sorry to hear about the ongoing issues, Skip. Hope the next round is the successful one.

Sassy might get picky in her eating, but I don't give her any choices. She gets her kibble, in her bowl. She can eat it or go hungry. It's her choice.

Lousy weather forecast for today (a "wintery mix"}, so shop time is in order, I hope, unless the boss calls for Christmas shopping. It would be so much easier if she were an online shopper. We're not doing much this Christmas, anyway. The younger wing of the family is renting a cabin in the mountains over Christmas. We'll give the grandkids their presents when they get home. We probably won't do any decorating at all. I'm having hip issues and don't want to climb ladders to hang lights. DW isn't in the mood to do her indoor decorating, either. Bah! Humbug!

    Good morning BBB Friends.
    • Started the day with my Emmaus Reunion group.
    • Got one of my last HOA finance comm. meetings. coming up.
    • Smart move with Sassy Dave. Other than dog snacks Emma got nothing, but Iams dry food and she gobbled it up. With Dachshunds letting them get overweight is not a kind thing to do.
    • Good luck with the new house deal Skip.
      - That is a beautiful lot, it commands a premium.
      - You'll have a spare bedroom
      - Did I mention that is prime motorcycle riding country right between the Blue Ridge Parkway and Skyline drive?

    Good Morning,
Spent past hour and half on phone with Empower concerning retirement accounts, this should not be this hard. Was with Mass Mutual and Empower took over and would not transfer anything, I did not want change, this their doing.
Beautiful day but starting out cool, warming into mid 60's, rain coming in tonight and tomorrow where it will turn colder, 30's at night highs mid 50's afternoons.
I need a gift for Saturday night, I'm thinking bourbon; any suggestions?

Bourbon is a great gift! Woodford Reserve is moderately priced and a top shelf, smooth drink and a great mixer for Old Fashions!

Angels Envy is a good one (but much harder to find usually) - again, moderately priced. Good for mixing.

1792 is a great one - but MUCH higher priced (typically a stand alone sipping bourbon).

Basil Hayden - good hooch - lower priced (good for mixing old-fashions)

    Good morning.

Sorry to hear about the continued woes, Skip.

Those suggestions are all good in bourbon. Makers 46 is also good staple bourbon. If you want higher octane suggestions, I'm happy to name a few of my favorites.

I love bourbon. This is right up
    My alley.

Basil Hayden’s has a bitey finish.
    WoodFord is my favorite
Makers 46 is also a biter
Gentlemen Jack is a good sipping bourbon
I just bought a bottle of Blanton’s $80. I about croaked. It’s hard to find
A cheaper bourbon which I di prefer is bulleit or old forester.

I think a tree up would help sell the house but what do I know? Good luck with another surgery.

Our house is all decorated and clean. Interior designer comes Friday at 2 to discuss flooring.

Did you enjoy Blantons? I gifted my recently retired boss the entire set to include the etched crystal glasses and the display for the corks. I found the set a few years ago from a guy in SF Bay Area and knew this would be a great present to my mentor. He was FLOORED....

We had some fancy Bourbon cocktails over the holiday.

After dinner, some "light" baileys on the rocks. Not Bad!

I finished decorating tonight, only put up half what I normally do. And I'm great with that.

I got the goods for the nesco of chili for 40 on Sat. Never made this volume before, hope its good.

    Sleep tight BBB

If you like Woodford, Kelly, try the Double Oaked. It's a solid pour with a great finish.
