I too am new to the group. A 71 year old former art teacher my hands, unfortunately only my hands, are constantly working on some project from wheat weaving, stained glass to knitting and crochet. Add in thyroid cancer and back issues and I 've gained weight I can't lose. I'm hoping some empathetic support will help. I'm on Ravelry and currently knitting blankets when my cat lets me.

Hi Becky. Unfortunately, this group isnt very active, but its nice to see you here. I am 69 and an avid knitter and sewist. Currently knitting mittens to go with a Frozen princess costume I am sewing for a 3 year old granddaughter. I get great help and encouragement from a group of ladies in an over sixty group. I will have to go look up the exact name of the group and post it here for you.0
