We got an inch of snow, stuck to all the trees. Still snowing this morning. Maybe we’ll have a white Christmas.

My calves have been swollen every evening lately. I realized I’ve been snacking on potato chips and having canned soup with salty crackers a lot lately. Also need to do more walking which would help. Will monitor swelling to see if that takes care of it.

I got out yesterday and walked despite the rain and high winds.

    Good morning!

Mike, I too have been eating way too much sodium. Even with the sodium, stretching will help. While in a chair do "gas pedal" stretches where you extend your toes and then draw them back, much like pressing on a gas pedal. The other is to stand on a stair with your heels hanging over. Then dip your heels down, stand on tip toes, etc. Both of those stretches help me with my calves.

We are starting to get our first real artic air of the season. Oh joy!

On December 29, Connie and I will be married for 33 years. I went out on a real limb and purchased for us dance lessons at Arthur Murray. Connie laments that I don't know how to dance, so I thought that this might be good. Have any of you guys done this?

    Have a great day!

    Good Morning

First full day here in Wisconsin. I might have let a sweat word slip out when we exited the Airport yesterday afternoon. We will relax this morning and then head over to the care facility to visit with Mom after lunch for the afternoon. Double Norco day yesterday to try and keep the nerve pain a bit muted. I hope to avoid that today. I read A Christmas Carol every Christmas season. I hope to be clear headed enough to knock off a couple staves.

    Good morning gentlemen.

Thank you for your comments, yesterday. It seems to help just to tell someone how I am feeling. I have mentioned this to my son, but no one else. Letting things out, a little, helps me get back from some pretty dark places.

Wisconsin in December could be a challenge for a guy used to California winter.

    Good Morning,
I'm a firm believer in "having a little talk with Jesus" and knowing that Jesus is the reason for the season; can even pick me up when I do not realize I'm down.
DD called this morning getting us up before we were ready. May not have answered but DS was out on fire call last night an wanted to make sure he was fine, still have not heard from DS but DDIL texted early this morning that fire was out and he was headed back to fire station to clean up equipment incase called out for another call. May need to assign different ringtones for kids,
Super cold in south for Christmas

Dave" I too hae struggled with depression and usually more in the winter dark months. I have used a special light in the morning neaar my computer at times to help. Activity helps me for sure.
Keep some light burning inside you while visiting Wisconsin in Dec. My DW is from Madison WI.
