Mike, if the swelling and fatigue persist, you should see your doctor. That could be a circulation problem or even clots in your lower legs. I do not like being an alarmist, but lower leg pain and swelling could be dangerous.
Fitbit says I was awake for 90 minutes during my sleep last night with no deep sleep at all. Interesting, because I feel pretty bright and alert today compared to yesterday morning when the fitbit said I had a really good night's sleep and I felt dull and sluggish until I had two cups of coffee.
Sam, were you trying to tell a certain someone on another board that she might be going through "the change"? LOL.
Glad to be home, Bill?
Be OP ;-)

Good morning!
Getting really cold here now. We are expecting deep, blowing snow Wednesday into Thursday.
I am ready for Christmas in terms of shopping and food in the house. I wish that I could take time off from work, but I need to work through Friday morning. That means driving 20 miles each way in bad roads. One of my most favorite things to do -- ever! I do have a back roads way of getting to work that is mostly flat, and less traffic, but it takes 45 minutes to an hour to get to work that way. The problem with the interstate is all of the aggressive and crazy drivers that make it really dangerous. This also causes more wrecks, which lead to slower traffic.
Mike, awesome on the song writing! It also feels cool to have a copyright. I had one 40+ years ago on a piece of software that I wrote back in the very early days of personal computers. It was written in dBase II if any of you remember that software.
Have a great day!

I used to use dBase for things at work--tracking office supplies and can't-remember-what-else. Later on I used MS-Access for things. I've done some writing -- stories, essays, poetry -- I tried to do an Access database for tracking all of that, but that never seemed to come together. Only published two articles, should get back to trying. There's so many apps now, for almost everything, not worth the effort, the prices are dirt cheap.
Got in a hike yesterday, then picked up a couple dozen fancy tree ornaments for all the GKs. Have to wrap those and will be clamping & gluing piano keys together and adding hooks to make racks for hanging car/house keys; for my kids. Found a second set of [free] old piano keys I hope to pick up tomorrow. Meanwhile the clutter grows...
Coffee @ full strength kept me awake all day yesterday--who knew? Still some swelling in legs, will check in with doctor if salt reduction doesn't do it.0 -
Good morning gentlemen.
Trying to type with a 55-lb. dog curled up in my lap is a challenge. It would be easier to just use my phone.
I have my first PT appointment for my right hip/leg pain, early this morning. This one is for assessment, then they will set up several weeks of therapy sessions.
Really miserable weather, here, with a steady rain in the 30s. Fortunately, we are 30 miles south of the snow line.0 -
Bill, just saw that there was an earthquake in your neck of the woods that knocked a lot of folks out of power. Hoping you and your DW are OK and have power.

Good Morning
The earthquake was about 300 miles north near Eureka. It might be the reason combined with some nerve pain I awoke at 2:30. We actually will be stopping overnight up there next month on our way up to Oregon.
Long day yesterday leaving Racine at 6:00am with an extra 90 min delay in Denver to make it a 3+ hour layover. With the time change we were pretty tired and hungry and stopped for dinner on the way home from SFO and got home around 6:30pm. But it is good to be home. We left after dealing with a few surprises and trying to get Christmas on track. We come home and it looks just like that. Full day today. After prayer, a contractor comes in for a bid on the kitchen, then tutoring and then a call with the PA at the Pain Drs Office. Hopefully the letter I dropped off last Thursday will mean they will be willing to schedule a procedure to get things a bit back under control. But I am thankful that yesterdays travels didn't cause any flare ups like the trip out did.
I used to use Paradox and the Access. I wrote the program to generate our financials in it after we downloaded the trial balance reports from the main computer. Things are different now.0 -
My daughter was born in Eureka when I was in graduate school at what was then Humboldt State (now Cal Poly University Humboldt) The town of Ferndale near the center of the quake has lots of wonderful Victorian Houses in it.
Stay warm and cosy all. See ya tomorrow0
