Morning BBB.
I actually felt worse for me DW losing him rather than for Georgie being lost, LOL. Georgie is a 14 yr old Maltese that we inherited when my DMIL passed away. I think he is autistic, actually. He is a weird little mother fletcher. Proved it yesterday disappearing after DW stumbled over him outside during a quick walk in the wee hours. I was actually thinking (hoping?) a coyote got him, but I gotta say I'm impressed that a non cold acclimated 12 lb geriatric worthless house dog easily survived 5 hours outside when it was in the teens. Better than I would have done if not properly dressed.
Sounds like so far so good, Skip. Sorry it took so many procedures.
Got a friend that has been stranded at a gas station near Buffalo for 5 days. He is hauling a big camper and has his wife and 4 dogs with him. He has lots of trucker buddies now. He finally has a chance to get moving again today. Prayers for those less fortunate in that area.
Back to work after a long weekend. Good to see family.

Good morning BBB friends.
Went for a walk with Sassy yesterday, during a break in our lousy weather. A half mile from the house I saw a woman approaching with multiple dogs and pushing a stroller. I crossed to the other side of the street and was walking by when I heard the woman yell "Come back here!" II looked over and saw a large black Lab charging across the street at us - right into the path of an SUV. The yelping dog was pinned under the car for a few seconds, but as soon as it could drag itself out it came after Sassy. This time, I remembered my stick and I fended the dog off as it bit at the stick, at Sassy and at me. The owner finally crossed the street and got control. This was the same Lab the attacked Sassy last week. Sassy and I left the scene and continued our walk. I later talked to the owners. The dog is a 9-year-old rescue dog they have had for three years. They aren't sure how badly injured it was by the car. They insist she is gentle and would never hurt anything - yeah, right.
Big storm coming, today, with winds up to 60 mph and heavy rain. I took Sassy out when I got up. She took one step outside the back door, blinked at the downpour and came back in. Smart dog.0 -
Morning!
OMG! Whiskey Tango Foxtrot is wrong with people! I'm so sorry for you and Sassy, SGM! Hope the pup that got hit wasn't hurt, but good grief. If you cannot control your dog - you should not be out walking the dog! Ugh!
Tucker still coughing and day 3 of meds. Dogtopia sent out a blast warning that there is a rampant wave in Northern VA for Canine Influenza. Thankfully, DBIL and family who are visiting are showering Tucker with extra sympathy scratches!
DMIL Birthday dinner last night was nice. The table commented that my eating habits have surely changed. Was able to tolerate a good meal and a few cold cerveza's too.
Off remainder of week and might seize opportunity to take the Vette out to stretch her legs. It's cold but its sunny.
Hope everyone traveling is safe. Just read that SWA cancelled another 2000+ flights. WOW!

People who rescue dogs with bad behavior are often unapologetic for their loss of control in those situations. They feel you should understand and forgive the behavior since the dog is a rescue. That dog should never be put in that situation again since they now know without a doubt it is dog aggressive outside its pack. Thankfully the whole pack did not get involved, which often happens and results in the victim(s) getting overwhelmed and getting hurt. Glad you had your shillelagh.0

Morning BBB
Might see the sun today. The female half of our company has to work this week but male half is on vacation. He was going to go deep sea fishing but with the crappy weather it seems he canceled that.
Todays plan is to look for our next place. Thinking Playa del Carmen or Tulum if we can snag a good last minute deal or Merida or San Miguel de Allende if we can’t. The first two would require a flight just a ferry then bus which appeals.0 -
Good morning.
If you've had a dog - rescue or not - you know its temperament after 3 years. She's just a bad dog owner, simple as that.
My vote is for Tulum, Steph.0 -
Good morning
Ds1 was one of the thousands flights cancelled on SWA yesterday. What a mess. They have a big issue for sure.
We are now trekking him downtown to coach bus he is taking to Chicago O'Hare for a AA flight to DC. We offered the full ride there, he's not having it insists the bus is fine. Ugghh stubborn.
I agree with Lou, Lee, bad dog owners!
Glad you are better Skip!
Hope Steph finds a good deal on next stop.
Have a good Tuesday

Just to be clear, I agree with Lou as well. Just telling you that it is a syndrome among people who rescue.
I think its a load of carp.0 -
Good Afternoon,
DMIL showed up 6 days early, it was all DSIL could handle, what about us?
Christmas decor down and packed away for about 11 months
Ice and snow overnight, melting as sun hits should hit about 50 today; later in week highs near 70 and lows in 50's. Believe a bike ride is essential before yearend.
