Mornin' BBB.
I have access to community and my groups now via mobile without using back door.
Saw optometrist yesterday. Nice lady and good office crew, but whacked me $1250 for new specs. Definitely an upgrade with the frames, and prescription has changed a little.
DW is up an at 'em on her first day of retirement. Big plans to start renovating the house room by room. I predict Dr Dinwiddie's honey do list will get way longer.

$1250? Yikes. I was recently complaining about mine costing $350 after insurance! I'll be quiet(er) now about my displeasure😂😂😂
Car wash is all I got on my list of "to-do'" today....
Tucker seems to be improving. Coughing less anyway.

Our friends are home in Nebraska and Ron is at men’s coffee. I am alone ( for the first time in months) drinking my coffee. Going to be a beautiful day. I think we should borrow our hosts bicycles and head out exploring.
I know he has some end of year investment stuff to do today but I’m guessing he did it before I was up. Hope the stock market recovers in 2023. I like living on our fat budget way more than our skinny budget.0 -

I should probably make some year-end investment decisions, but the crystal ball is too murky so I'm just going to stick my bonus money under the mattress.
Went to the Cloak Room which is this little basement bar right next to the Capitol last night and got their signature drink - the Red Rocket. 7 types of bourbon and cranberry juice. The total pour of bourbon was about 2 shots, so it went down fine and I've checked that box of Austin culture.0 -

I ordered a new coffee maker yesterday, but it won't arrive until next week, so I still have to get by with a little, 4-cup substitute.
I have a PT appointment this morning, then Rita has some errands for us to run. Then I need to be home to await the arrival of a new dust collection machine for my shop. Love getting new tools.
Our "investment" strategy is to just sock things away in CDs. We are happy that there are options, now, actually paying interest rates that don't have a decimal point at the front. Rising interest rates might distress borrowers, but they are a boon to us savers.

- Wow, I thought my glasses were expensive. It is amazing what they cost but life without them wouldn't be good.
- It will be interesting to see how long it takes Mary to get used to her new norm.

All I need now or readers for small print, Dollar tree specs at $1.25 a pair are a great option. But before getting eyes fixed last two pair of glasses came from Zinnie at about 1/4 cost at optometrist.
Cranberries are good for you as well as juice.
