2022 almost done and over with. Rain expected today, but mild temps. I will try to get out in my rain gear for a hike, if it's not too inclement.
I am now enrolled in two piano classes--this one at the next town over on Wednesdays. It's a chords class. Sat in on it last week, a small group of 5 old geezers, like me. Teacher encouraged and cajoled me to join. Not sure if I have time for it, but will give it a try.
Tomorrow is the wake for DD's friend. We've known her family since our kids were little, late 1970's I think, although lost touch a little in recent decades.
Bill, what did you do to your leg?! Hope you're healed up soon.
Wishing everyone a happy, illness-free, injury-free, pain-free new year.0 -
Good morning!
Bill, praying for your knee and for pain management.
Today will be all about getting small projects done around the house.
I don't care what you all say about DW being retired. Connie sits around all day and comes up with several projects. Most of them are small. Last night we were just sitting watching TV. She said "I don't think that the dryer vent is working correctly. Tomorrow, please check and make sure that it is venting." Yep, a lot of stuff like that. But, I also have two light fixtures to swap out too.
We are supposed to have mild temps for a few days. I plan to get out for a hike, myself. I still have not been able to get my treadmill fixed.
Have a great day!0 -
Good morning gentlemen.
Hang in there, Bill.
Got a great surprise, yesterday: a UPS delivery arrived early, rather than at 9 in the evening. I got a new dust collection system for my shop. Lord knows what I have done to my lungs over the years, but I have vowed to try to be safe and more responsible in the future. Neater, too. I spent an hour in the afternoon assembling the thing. Now I have two enormous boxes to cut up, so they will fit in the recycling bin. There is a local place that recycles Styrofoam plastic packing material, too, so that won't fill the trash, either.0 -
Hoping for better days with your knee Bill!!
Mild 45-ish degrees with light rather steady rain this morning. Saw a coyote spotlighting him at some distance off to the side of a trail.0 -
Good Morning
I seem to be enjoying a case of rebound Covid which can happen with the Anti-Viral. I tested positive again yesterday when I started running a fever. I will have to cancel next weeks Ortho appt in keeping with their Covid protocols. We have cancelled our family Xmas gathering today. Jer will swing by tomorrow to drop off gifts and pick up what we have here for him. More than bummed to have our last Christmas in this house workout like this. This has been one for the ages.0 -
Dave, enjoy dust system; those I've seen work well and when added to compost pile can really enrich the soil,
I need to get DS to bring my table saw back from lodge but going to have to wait till ground dries some to get it around to basement, have a couple of tables I need to build.
Lint build-up in dryer vents have been known to cause fires.
Bill hope knee is better
Mike, admire your ambition knowing it helps keep mind alert.
Pray all have a safe New Year's Eve and able to start 2023 in good health and strong mind.
