Planned to hike yesterday and wound up not. Rainy this morning, but clearing and 50's this afternoon, so no excuses for me.

COVID is on the rise here, I need to use a little more caution when I'm out, and go back to mask wearing indoors if it's crowded...

    Good morning gentlemen.

I must revise my statement: Everyone I know in Washington has had Covid, except me. :#

DGD has a solo singing part in her school's winter concert, tonight. DW wants to go an hour early to snag prime seats.

Back is sore and muscles hurt, after hard PT session, yesterday. I'm not convinced that this isn't doing more harm than good, but there are only four more sessions on the calendar, so I'll stick it out to the end.

The atmospheric river that has been dumping on California has shifted north for the next 24 hours, before it is forecast to go back to Bill. Steady rain all day. A good day to stay in the shop. I'll try to process and rough-turn at least one more cherry log, today.

    Good Morning

Well our rain comes back after a beautiful day off yesterday. It is still hard to fathom that this is happening. Our nearby arroyo that usually has no water or at best a bit of stagnant non-moving water is flowing a good 15+ feet high. Yesterday it was getting close to the roadbed where it crosses over near us.

An active day yesterday left me very sore and on Tramadol. I don't understand how that stuff works. It really quieted down my knee, but did nothing for the aching muscles in my back. I will take what I can get. My meeting with my Ortho led to a quick referral to his colleague on Monday regarding knee replacement surgery since the knee pain is getting worse. The hard kick to the ego was being told to switch from the cane to a walker as much as possible. Besides the stability he is hoping for perhaps it will take the stress of my back that the cane gives me. We are slowly coming to the realization that the knee may have to get done ahead of the kitchen. Not a lot of happiness around putting it on hold now. Off to the SurgiCenter this morning for 8am check in for an epidural to knock back the nerve sensations in my other leg.

    Good morning!

Bill, holding you in earnest prayer for your knee and for pain management.

Connie and I had a great time dancing last night. We practiced the waltz, rumba, hustle, and we learned the basics of the tango last night. We really enjoy this time together. I'm actually starting to relax with it. Last night was a group lesson. There were about 20 in the group. We also exchanged partners for part of the evening to get different practicing and coaching.

I have a worker's comp audit in about 1/2 hour. Taking a quick break to shift focus.

    Have a great day!

Bill, it's tough going through all you have endured. But don't lose a sense of optimism. I have had a number of friends go through knee replacements with really good results.

Turmeric helps clear infections and inflammation in the body, I take a few drops daily.
Folks I know who have had knee replacement surgery was generally done as outpatient and walked out of surgery center.
Don't miss requirements your job Steve, 40 years as controller glad to be retired most of time.

Glad you enjoyed the dancing Steve. I agree with Sam that sometimes the right tumeric can help with inflammation. It is greatly enhanced if the preparation includes black pepper or black pepper extract (piperine) in it. Lee said he has had some friends benefit from tumeric stuff too.

    Hang in there all!
