Spent morning with the girls picking up for a tower shoot held at the club. Both girls got lots of retrieves and it was good training too.
Oven roasted some sweet potato wedges last night with some venison. Used hot paprika to give them a bite.

Another cool morning. Maybe we will head to the north end of the island. We haven’t been there yet. I think 5 miles or so.
We signed up for scribd yesterday as we both think our Omaha library cards will expire soon. They told us 2 years when we got them in 2019 and I’m guessing the Covid extension will run out soon. So many options for books, documentaries and more. Spent way too much time exploring everything yesterday.

Well, I was rooting for two teams - they both already lost. My football season is over. I'll tune back in for the Super Bowl. I will kind of pull for the 49ers. The Brock Purdy story is too good to ignore (and both my parents went to Iowa State).

Nixed football and started watching Tulsa King last night.
Today we find out the gender of our grandbaby due in July. My guess is boy. Boys dominate on this side. Either will be a Joy!
Turkey bacon, egg and lite english muffin sammy is on our brunch menu here. I best get to it.

Good morning.
I saw a gender reveal on FB where there were two balloons - A and B. The expectation was that they'd pop one or the other and have the answer, was the gist of it. The mom to be is told to pop B and everyone sees a pink puff of stuff and they're all excited and whatnot. Then a tight zoom on grandma when the mom is told she's going to have to pop A too. The realization that it's twins was hilarious. Also a girl, BTW.
Mom's spirits were a little better yesterday since my brother brought the dog over for a visit. First time she's smiled in days. She has no concept of how long she's been in the hospital/rehab - she thinks it's 5 weeks and it's been 10 days. She does seem to get that she's going to be there for a while though.
Last night was Dad's turn in the ER. He's had an infection in his left big toe for over a year and they've been managing it becuase the only other alternative is removal. In the past couple weeks, he'd been building up pain in his right foot and said nothing because of everything that had been going on with mom. It got unbearable last night and there's something nasty looking on his right calf. He was in the ER with my brother until 3 last night, so I'm waiting on a call to get an update.0 -

Gary’s parents are in bad shape. It’s a very very long story. His mom has been in the hospital or rehab since November 20th. She came home for less than 24 hours and fell again breaking her pelvis. She’s in rehab now for another 2 weeks. And to think, his dad is in worse shape. Aging parents is a tough one.
