Hi! New to the group, but not so new to the MyFitnesaPal. So, I need active friends on here.

•After I fix my Nannylunch, I’ll take a walk around the neighborhood.
•Every night after getting Nanny in bed, I’ll check the pre-planned meal plan set up for me and set aside the ingredients.
•After finishing my nightly check-ins, drink a cup of relaxation tea.
•While drinking my nightly tea, do a quick journal entry.

I show myself kindness and compassion through journaling and meditation. Years of therapy at
    work.

I use Notion as a habit tracker.

Hello my fellow goal setters! Sorry to be late to the party. I forgot to bookmark this thread and... well, eight days have now gone by!

♥️ How can you create habits around moving your body that show it you care & appreciate all that you can do? My February plans have been thrown out the window: Monday night I blew out my right knee again. Hello, crutches and brace. Goodbye, karate and skiing. New plan: do whatever the physiotherapist says.

♥️ What habits might help you feed your body in a more loving & caring way? I have set three alarms, morning-afternoon-evening, to integrate some content I've been studying, to review my intention, and to meditate, respectively. I like how caring about my thoughts is a way to care about my body. After all, mind and body are not separate; the brain is an organ, too.

♥️ How can you prepare for sleep in a way that your body will appreciate? The meditation helps. I also have these amber glasses I got from Amazon. I wear them for an hour or so before bed. I look like a bug (LOL), but it really mutes everything and puts me in the mood to sleep.

♥️ Is there a habit you could create to appreciate yourself more? The alarm to review my intention is a good new habit. I've also recently signed up for a free 7-day "Stop Holding Yourself Back" challenge in my meditation app. It starts in a week.

These are wonderful habits to focus on @KacyCarpe! And I’m sorry to hear about your knee but good plan to do whatever the physio suggests!

I love @MadisonMolly2017 ’s theme for us this month. Self care and self love are foundational to everything we do and what we want to accomplish. We are all magnificent people deserving of love, kindness, respect, and fulfillment. Thank you Maddie for encouraging us to focus on ourselves this month!

My self care focus this month is to amp up a bit more JOY into my life everyday. Sometimes I get so focused on what I need to accomplish each day, that doing joyful things gets sidelined. Not this month!

Among my joyful pursuits this month:
    • Weekend cooking segments with my daughter who lives 2000 miles away. We pick a recipe and then spend an evening each making it while we chat on the phone. Last night we made vegetarian shepherds pie.
    • Extra long guitar sessions. I just love playing!
    • Caught up with a friend I hadn’t spoken to in awhile. Made me so happy!

Here’s my updated tracker Looking forward to more joyful moments each day!

I'm running about 2 weeks behind time.
Dec. I focused on an earlier bedtime (10).
    Jan's focus was returning to a minimum of 8 x 8oz water.
Starting today, the 13th, I have to kick it up to adding (i) keeping track of points (WW), and (ii) do at least 15 min deliberate exercise /day (can incl stretching).
    Wt today was 167.4.

Began tai chi again continuing with meditation and strength work for my self care as I need to reduce my overall body fat % it’s stuck where I don’t want it to be. It’s not awful but not grand.
My self care also includes me time for reading, music playing etc.

    Things are going well

I am focusing as of Feb 18 on taking a full set of body measurements each week. This is something I have resisted on my 7+ year Wt loss & maintenance journey.

    Not anymore!

I earn $10 each week that I complete this for a Clothing Budget I will use when I’ve reconciled my measurements & my ability to maintain at that level.

I’m pretty excited to have done the first set & look forward to losing 5lbs or so & seeing where the measurements fall.

It’s definitely adding a kickstart to losing the few pounds I gained over the past 4-5 months

    Feb 18th.
Doing better illness wise! Had to break down and go to the doctor. I hadn’t been to see my primary doc in a long time and he was shocked/happy/impressed with the weight I’d managed to lose since I’d last seen him. Scheduled a well-care visit to check my barely existent diabetes and high cholesterol, which I dread. Not the diabetes, but the cholesterol. Life got in the way and I let my script lapse so I haven’t taken it in a while. He was understanding (small town doctor that knows/treats whole family) since he knows what I’ve been going through, but we both want to get back on track.

Starting a new week with hitting my goals! Really focused on my step goals though. Thanks guys! Hope your having a fantastic month so far!!

@MadisonMolly2017 I love the idea of doing measurements. I avoid measuring myself like the plague, but I’ve gained a good bit from my maintenance level and I know my clothes are not fitting well.

I always avoided measurements, too, but it has re-invigorated my efforts to lose my extra 3.1lbs and then (Hopefully) go further down to “whittle my middle “ more

    The measurements will
Help me Order clothes online & to see my progress. I remember the weight coming off slowly but the inches really decreased closer to 152lbs
