    TGIF!
Busy day ahead. Getting rid of great room couch and stager dropping off some furniture ahead of staging appt on Monday.

DW called in to Sub today and Monday. They asked her to do 1 to 2 days per week for the rest of the school year.

Steph - hope you are feeling better.

Afternoon Happy Hour with my retired boss. I miss him dearly.

    Mornin' BBB

So glad you are OK, Steph. Scary.
LOLed at the run on rotisserie chickens at Costco. Am guessing that lady with eight chickens had a lot of mouths to feed.
Downsizing usually means moving into a community. I hate people, so that wouldn't work. I'll die on a wee farm somewhere.
The fires at work continue even on me day off. Wondering what I will walk into this morning that I haven't already been made aware off.

    Good morning BBB friends.

Arose early, this morning. The furry alarm was quite insistent.

House size is pretty subjective. To some, our 2,900 sq. ft. home would be small. But it is a lot bigger than the 1,200 sq. ft. house I grew up in - where my mom still lives. DW wants something that size, but I would hate leaving my shop. She decries the yard work, too, but I don't know how she would spend her time if she didn't have her gardening.

    Good morning.

That sounded scary, Steph! Glad you're feeling better.

We lost power with the downed lines in Austin yesterday morning. Came back at about 04:30 today. Our complex got hit hard with tree damage, but we (thankfully) didn't take down any of our own wires.

Feeling much better now. Thanks. Took it easy yesterday and lots of water. Today maybe a small walk. It’s mostly overcast today. We need groceries.

After our 4 years of travel we have decided high ceilings, counter space in the bathroom and good outlet placement matter almost as much as square footage. Proper towel racks or hooks too.

Lee, sounds as practice has too many trying to play chief
We enjoy light alarms where it starts shining through west windows or smell of coffee brewing, now we generally wake about 7.
Lou, glad you did not lose power
I grew up in a large house so to me 1200 square feet is way too small, where we are now is smallest home in 28 years.
Need to make run to Costco today or tomorrow, thought about going to WW but ate chicken yesterday which must have been full of sodium because weight is up a couple of pounds today and I had seven points left over yesterday.

    Good morning BBB Friends.
    • Stay safe Steph.
    • Downsizing is subjective is a very true statement. One man's castle is another man's cave.
    • I hear you, Lee. I ride the motorbike around the farm country here and there is one house that catches my eye. It is a nice smaller house that sits on ~1/2 acre but is surrounded by miles of hay field. I imagine he owns it all but leases the field to a neighboring farmer. Isolation without all the work.
    • I smiled at the idea of a furry alarm clock.
    • Scary site Lou. Ice storms in the South can be scary.
    • Breaking New: Covid test is negative.

Lee. Gary hates people too. I had to laugh at that statement.

It’s our big 31st wedding anniversary. I ate lunch so wasn’t hungry at dinner at a swanky spot up north. We split coconut shrimp split 1 sushi roll. Had 2 old fashioned’s and 1 beer. That was it with tip $166. Holy cow. It was good. Beautiful venue but Oucharooni. Ha.

    Continuing the celebration tomorrow

    Happy 31st!

Oucharooni is right! $18 for a recent Chik'FilA lunch made me lose my appetite!
