I've lost over 100 averaging about 2 pounds a week. I still have about 30 more to lose but have started lifting 3 weeks again and now nothing! Thing is, I knew this would happen but what I didn't research was how long it takes realistically to see some results.
Are we looking at 3 months, 6 months, or a year or more. I should have asked BEFORE I started so I would have been better prepared.
I have to admit I need to work more on my nutrition but it has improved so much over this journey. I am eating at maintenance as best I can but need more work on my macros.
I also missed one workout. Is ok to miss one here and there? I've also not been able to progress from 25kg on my overhead press and 35kg on my barbell row. Do I just keep at this level til I feel strong enough? Are you still potentially building muscle or will staying at the same weight for a bit halt any growth?
Sorry for the ????? overload but you all are so resourceful and I really appreciate the help.

Yes, sometimes it take a few months to start seeing results. The better measure of progress would be a measuring tape and how well your clothes fit.I have to admit I need to work more on my nutrition but it has improved so much over this journey. Yes protein is really important, should be getting at least 1gm per LBM.I also missed one workout. Is ok to miss one here and there? Yes it is fine to miss one workout here and there... Some people (me included) have been known to take even longer breaks and come right back to it. Like riding a bicycle. Lol
Oh and overhead press... that is a tough lift, you will see around here that a lot of us are stalled on that lift (me currently at 55lbs (25kgish))
One thing to note is that your form comes first, don't add weight to the bar until you have your form down pat.0
