    G'Morning

Late start - forgot to set alarm (NEVER happens).

Lou - T&Ps, my friend to you and the family for a peaceful transition.

We too are DONE w/ carpets. LVP was an expensive option but new home will be entirely LVP. Mother Tucker will be a hoot when he gets Zoomies.

Might be shopping for vehicle that can fit in garage of new home. Current Ram gives me less than 2" without ending up going through wall and into DMIL bedroom! Looking for a mid-size SUV today.

Thankfully, taxes done! Our "guy" is super fast. Dropped off two weekends ago and got filed.

SB party at the home of a friend. Hooters wings (smoked habanero are my favorite) and brew will be on menu. Will likely leave at H/T as it is still a school/work night for me.

    TGIF!

Next week are photos and video productions. Scared to sit anywhere in house. Ugh.....Mother Tucker cannot figure out whats going on.

    Cheers,
    Skipper

    Good morning BBB Friends.
    • It is interesting how tastes / trends in home design change over the years. I still can't believe painting wood cabinets is a good idea but apparently a lot of people think it is.
    • I saw the vehicle change coming with your new home Skip. Then again, there is always vehicle change coming for you.
    • I'm off to see the eye Dr. for annual checkup this morning.
    • Your cousin is still in my T&P Lou.

    Good morning.

    New whip time for Skip!

Thanks for your prayers. He's still hanging in there and was moved to Hosparus yesterday for reasons I don't entirely understand.

We looked for the comet again last night. At best, we saw something resembling a tiny smudge in the area we were supposed to see it. Since we all saw the same thing and it wasn't on the star chart, we decided to call the smudge a comet after an hour of piddling around with the telescope.

    Good morning BBB friends.

Super Bowl Plans: I'll watch. That's it. Nothing special, here. I too, will pull for the Chiefs. As I point out every year, I have seen every Super Bowl except that in 1977, when I was in Basic Combat Training at Fort Sill. The drill sergeants declined to provide televisions.

Wish we had gone all hardwood for our house, when we built it. It would have been much better for our allergies. As it is, half the ground floor is solid oak. We want to get rid of the carpet in the family room and living room, so only upstairs will be carpeted. LVP is a good option for durability. Our oak shows the signs of both our first dog and of Sassy. We'll call it character.

Confirmed that the IRS has already taken its pound of flesh out of our bank account, so we are done with 2022.

    Morning BBB

Last few days in Playa. Tonight meeting so other nomads for happy hour. Same couple as last week plus another.

Have shuttles all booked for our travel day. Not happy with one as they raised the price $10 but in their fine print it says need to book within 24 hours of quote to get the deal and I didn’t. Still best price by $20 so unless I find something else I’ll pay it. I’m super ready to leave the Yucatán…price gouging tourists is the favorite pastime.

Ron did our taxes a few weeks ago. He has it so streamlined I don’t even help anymore.

    Good Morning,
Lou, prayers for cousin and family
Went to urgent care yesterday, told it would be a half to hour wait; two hours later see NP. for three prescriptions.
Need to make a Costco trip, believe I'll put off till tomorrow.
Power was out early this morning for a little over three hours, could have been storm related
Skip, holding off till fall for new vehicle should yield a much better deal, if willing to accept 2023.
Steph, at times I'm almost envious of your and Ron's lifestyle but know I really need more security as we have here.

    Good morning.

    Prayers for your cousin Lou.

We have real hardwood in the open concept kitchen dining greatroom. 3 bedrooms have carpet.

When my Mom got cancer and went into a wheelchair at home, her carpeted house was terrible! So hard to get the wheelchair to move around on carpet. She couldn't do it herself at all.

Our gal is figuring out taxes 2 ways, file separate or file jointly since we hitched on 12.23.22. We will go with best result.

Temps here next few days into 40s. Woohoo!

    Good afternoon

Still praying for your family Lou

Wedding venue is downtown Indy. Swanky place. It’s called the piper at the Marott or something like that. Come in April 13, 2024. I’m already tired. Ha.

The new floor is in the calendar to be installed the first week in March. They said it’d take 8 days.
