Rise and shine!
My blood tests all came back normal, though triglycerides were a tad over the max. I had fasted too. Probably the extra pounds and recent muffins and cookies didn't help that.
Nice visit last night with DD and DGD, 9. DGS was in AZ with his dad for the big game, and other DGD -- 13 -- was in bed after a sleepover at her friends the night before, and an overdose of cookies and cake. Fun time anyway for the three of us at dinner.
My weight is up again. Time to gear up for Lent in a few weeks.0 -
Good morning!
Mike, I'm glad that your blood work was good. I too have high triglycerides and high cholesterol. Well, and high weight too. I'm also glad that you had a good visit with your family. That's always good to hear.
Lee, congratulations on your recent award. That's awesome!
Today will be about knocking out chores early so that I can watch the Chiefs win the Super Bowl. Connie has been sick, so I am going to make a big pot of lentil soup.
Prayers for all of you and your health concerns.
Have a great day!0 -
Good morning gentlemen.
I'll be pulling for your Chiefs, too, Steve.
Had fun the last couple days, with a large vase I am turning on my lathe. I am partway through the hollowing process. Running into some difficulties, here and there, adds to the enjoyment.
Church, a walk, then football. That's my plan for the day.0 -
I just want the game to be good and both quarterbacks to be healthy enough to do a decent job. Yes I am pulling toward the KC Chiefs myself but just want a well played effort.
Sorry to hear that Connie is sick. Nice of you to make lentil soup Steve.
My cholesterol is a bit high but I don't do statins. My triglycerides came down to normal range after I lost weight on WW.
Should be interesting for folks in AZ to get to the big game with the Phoenix Open also being held in Scottsdale. Uber drivers might make big bucks today with interesting traffic changes in effect.
Had an early bike ride on my winter bike in freezing fog. Not much frost on roads and bridges but rode with winter tires anyway.
Trying to get use to doing 3 eye drop applications per day. Two are done at night but spaced out.
Hey have a nice day. I will watch some football after church myself.0 -
Good Morning
I take a low dose statin and my blood work has been pretty good, though the pre-op stuff showed my glucose had gone up and needs attention. Yesterday I worked hard getting my knee to work again and my the afternoon I was able to get around the house, I even took a nice nap in the late afternoon which is a rarity for me and got a pretty good sleep. I think Fitbit's sleep analysis algorithm just gave up trying to sort it out. Now that I am mobile again I will join Heather in a trip to pick up my meds for post-op and take her to lunch then its home to finish setting up my space which I changed after not being able to walk to well at the start of the weekend. I don't watch football anymore but I used to live in Philly in the 70's before heading west so I will wish the Eagles success though I can't name anyone on their roster. Besides the Chiefs are an AFC team. The Warriors dropped another winnable game last night so what does this Superbowl really matter in the grand scheme of things?
I doubt I will check in tomorrow since I am up early to do home prep at 4:30am and arrive at the Hospital at 5:30. I spend the night and get booted out midday Tuesday. I am so ready to get this done and get back to the good old days of muscle spasms in the lower back and phantom nerve pain in my calf, ankle and foot. Prayers appreciated. Pray for Heather. I am supposed to teach her how to brew my coffee via the pour over method. 26g of coffee to 430 grams of off boil water, poured properly. Not that I am picky. She puts up with a lot, this may push her over the edge.0 -
Prayers for you both, Bill. I'm sure you will like your new knee.0
