    Good morning!

I'm working today. The only notice about the holiday is that the banks are closed, and the mailman won't be by today. Other than that, same ol' same ol'.

Connie is doing well after her eye procedure.

We are supposed to have sunny and 60 degree weather today. I'm glad that I am in a windowless office and won't be forced to go outside and experience that.

I am hoping to make progress on year end today.

    Have a great day!

    Good morning gentlemen.

    Glad Connie is doing well.

Eye surgeries have progressed a lot. For my first trabeculectomy, in 1989, they kept me in the hospital for three days. For my second, in 1998, they sent me home the same day. Cataract surgery used to be a major operation, now they take a half hour and it's more routine than tonsillectomies used to be.

Windy, here around Puget Sound, today. They say gusts up to 50 mph. Very heavy snow in the mountains tonight, too, with up to 2 feet of fresh snow expected. Glad we're in the lowlands. I'm sure that storm is heading your way, Steve.

Still have the grandkids, this morning. Their parents will pick them up after lunch. No school on the holiday, nor tomorrow. They call it mid-winter break.

    Morning...

Did a 45 minute walk before breakfast this morning; a better way to start my day, I think. Otherwise I often never get it out of first gear. Maybe Lent a good time to make a habit... starts Wednesday.

DS called me yesterday about dinner, again. We'll meet up tonight--he's breaking up with his longtime girlfriend. I have no relish of drama or romantic heartache stories. We'll see how it goes.

Planning another winter canoe trip Wednesday. The ponds are almost ice-free and the ducks and geese are back already; temps around 50 today. There is snow in the forecast and some temps in the teens and single digits end of week, but my hopes for a blizzard and snowshoeing are dim, and icefishing is now a lost cause this year. First winter I haven't ice-fished since I started, almost 20 years ago.

My weight is not going in the right direction, and I need to turn it around.

Lee, took my awhile but after an hour I finally got your Star-trek pun

    Good Afternoon

I am late checking in. Another night of broken up sleep but I think I am making progress. I have PT at 1:00 so I'll see how my range of motion is doing. Getting pretty bored living in this fog.
