Hope you had a nice B-day, Dave.
Need to buy a new gas grill. Looking at a Charbroil Commercial series 3 burner infrared tech with side burner. Any suggestions/recommendations? Need something DW friendly.

    Be OP ;-)

    Good morning gentlemen.

Did nothing birthday specific, yesterday, except my son brought over some French pastries for breakfast. I'm smoking some ribs, tomorrow, and Rita is baking a cake.

We use a four-burner Weber Genesis grill, Lee. I like it, but Rita, at 4' 11" has trouble opening the lid. It's too big for her. She uses the side burner all the time, to cook fish. Biggest downside, to me, is that they cost more than a lot of their competitors. Plus side, is that they hold up really well. Our previous Weber held up for 18 years. That one was half the size of the current one.

Need to turn some cherry wood, today, to have shavings to put in the smoker, tomorrow. I prefer apple, but don't have any to turn.

    Good Morning

I still use a Weber Kettle grill. multi-burner, infared techie stuff is why I will probably always use my kettle grill. Though I got to admit when the stores line them all up as spring rolls out they do look tempting, except for the price.

Dave, I belatedly wish you a very happy birthday. I hope tomorrow's celebration is full of joy.

I was able to get things back on track knee recovery-wise with a day of rest while using the ice machine wrap and was able to do my exercises. More of the same today. Exciting stuff. I did ask a cute red head out to the brew pub tonight. They are having a Mama Mia sing along which is a favorite of hers. I worry about her ongoing fatigue from working and then worrying about me. I thought it would be a good diversion for her. Alas no beer for me due to the remaining oxycodone I am still taking.

MFP wouldn't let me log in this morning. Look like others may have had same.

Went back for more piano repair attempts today. I may have fixed it--treated the felt hammerhead with diluted shellac, and made some adjustments to the shape and angle of the hammer where it hits the strings. Sounds a little better, will tell better after shellac is dried.

Heard a rumor the town is closing the Senior Center where piano lessons are, as well as the town library. Budget woes, I guess. Strange, the State had a huge surplus last year and actually refunded peoples taxes, and the voters just approved an income tax hike for millionaires. And there's a building boom going on--new houses popping up the last 5 years, meaning tax revenues.

    Happy belated birthday to Dave.

I have a George Foreman electric grill... I do grill over a campfire when I go camping.
