Zero sleep on this couch and sleeping bag with a pupper who emits enough body hear to warm an entire house.

DF and I off to induction ceremony a bit later.

    Cheers for a great day.

    Good morning BBB Friends.
    • Induction ceremony. Is that anything like an enlistment ceremony? Asking for a friend.
    • I have a 200-mile lunch ride on tap for today. Meeting up with the BMW Boys from FL. It will be a bit nippy at take-off time.
    • Thinking of Sam who is working the Men's Emmaus Walk this weekend.
    • Enjoy your weekend BBB.

    Mornin' BBB

Congrats on the closing, Skip! BTW, you look pretty thin in the photo, good, but definitely thin and hopefully staying that way on purpose. Assuming your esophageal issues have been completely resolved.
4 inches of heavy snow here.
How did the ribs turn out, Dave? Do you sauce 'em or serve with sauce on the side?

    BBB OP ;-)

Morning gang. Congrats on the closing. And thanks for the offer of a room. Someday we will take you up on the offer

My Facebook memories showed a meetup with Raine and Mary 8 years ago. Crazy.

    Good morning BBB friends.

    Congrats on the closing, Skip.

The ribs were perhaps the best I have ever done. I dry rub them a few hours before they go in the smoker. Smoked them three hours at 250, then wrapped in foil and kept them in for two hours. Finally took off the foil, brushed them with sauce, and left them in the smoker at 260 for a final hour, to build a nice crust. They were great. Rita baked a spectacular German chocolate cake, too. Not a good dinner for watching calories.

Cleaning the smoker this morning, then have several honey-dos to get to.

    Good morning.

So by my math, that's 9 hours start to finish on those ribs. I don't know that I have the patience for something like that unless I was hosting a party and cooking a rack of dinosaur ribs. I'd have to see if dinosaurs are kosher though. Anybody know if Fred Flintstone was Jewish? That could save me some Googling.

    Congrats on the closing, Skip!

Definitely not kosher, Lou, as it was pork. Only six hours in the smoker and I didn't have to spend much time working with them. For the first three hours, I went out and sprayed them with a little cider vinegar, every half hour, or so, and I added some damp, cherry wood savings for smoke after a couple hours.

    Ribs sound great.
    Congratulations on the closing.

Floors are done. We are gluttons for punishment and have decided to go ahead and do our bedroom and mst bath too. I’ll order more. Ha. It’s a hot mess. Now, the clean up.
