Words you don't want to hear from your buyer during final walk thru:
"......I'm not moving in. I have to rethink my finances"
Yep! Followed by "....do I get the keys and the garage door openers tonight?"
Poor guy is going through nasty divorce and he's now signaling he will flip this house and sell his others to settle with his soon to be ex and move to Europe for a few years. UGH! His appt is at 9a today and if he no-shows, he loses his EMD, but more importantly, we begin search for new buyer all over again! Ugh!
We are officially in hotel now and stressed. Ugh!

Good morning BBB friends.
Yikes, Skip! We had a similar thing happen when we sold our last house. At least we hadn't vacated, yet. Hope it all works out for you.
Not taking any sleep aids, because they make me snore - a lot - and DW is unhappy. Without that Benadryl boost, I don't sleep well. Up at 4 this morning. Sassy came downstairs with me, but thought I was crazy. She is snoring softly at my elbow.
Rita has been collecting house paint sample books. I guess we will take bids on painting the house, soon. We will have it done this summer. The plan is for a major change in the color of the house. It has been an off-white, with dark green trim, for 21 years. She wants a greenish grey, with charcoal trim. I like it, but it will certainly be different. Need to find a contractor who can repair a couple places where trim is rotting - or one who can recommend a carpenter to do the work. I just don't want to take it on, myself, though I have the skills and knowledge. Maybe I am getting lazy in my old age.0 -
Good morning.
Skip, I'm so sorry you've picked up this new stress so close to the finish line. Prayers that he makes it to the table and can flip it without losing his shirt in the process.it sounds like you'll know you're answer in an hour or so.
That grayish and charcoal combo has become pretty popular down here too, Dave. It's a bit counter-intuitive given how hot it gets here, but it looks nice.0 -
Good Morning,
Great to sleep in own bed last night.
Yesterday was a very day but we had a great walk.
Fingers crossed house gets closed.
Dave, around here we are seeing white with black trim or homes painted black with dark trim, all changes over time except for our neighborhood which all colors have to be approved by HOA who is following approved colors.

Good morning BBB Friends.
- I had breakfast with the ROMEOs.
- Welcome home Sam.
- Good luck today, Skip. I hate selling real estate.
- Men of a certain age are wise to stay off ladders. Just sayin'.
- Getting prepped for a 3 day motorbike trip. We are heading off to Birmingham, AL to the Barber Motorcycle Musuem, the largest in the world. It is going to be cold at launch time tomorrow.

Hooray Skip. What a nail biter.
Our friends were too tired after site seeing to go out last night so moved it to Tuesday. Worked out good as a thunderstorm blew through as we would have been on a rooftop patio. We just got high wind here but looked like it rained nearby.
Today maybe botanical garden. It will be over an hour hike up the hill to get there but I hear worth it.
