Heading out for a very early hike in the snow up Mt. Wachusett. 2 miles, 1000' elevation gain, if I make it to the top. Have a great St. Patrick’s Day everyone.

    Good morning!

I had a great visit with the doctor yesterday. We talked for half an hour. He prescribed for me to change my job situation. He said that the president is stuck. I agree. He said that I am just in a very toxic situation that is affecting my health and that I need to get out. He said that I should stop holding back in trying to protect the president, and lay it all out for the CEO. I don't think they are purposely driving it into the ground, I just think that the president is stuck. He does not know what to do, and ends us doing nothing. He is very passive/aggressive, and a conflict avoider. He has acted like he is going to implode for several months now.

Doc said that I need to change my job situation. He agrees that I have burnout. He said that it is NOT my responsibility to fix the problems at work. He suggests that if they immediately don't make moves to fix the company then I need to move on or retire. He thinks that I'm too fixated on the money aspect and need to do something that will bring me peace, like working at Lowe's. He is probably right. I am pre-diabetic (A1C 6.2). He is giving me one last chance to fix myself. He said that if I stopped stress eating, that would likely help a bunch. He said that I have to act like a millennial. I need to burn up my vacation, and stop worrying myself into bad health. He then told me that he himself has already used all of his vacation this year. He is leaving working for a larger practice to open his own wholistic health practice.

    Have a great day!

    Mornin' gents.

    Happy St Patrick's.
Wow, Steve. That upper management of that company is so dysfunctional, that they don't realize what they have a someone that is stressing his self out trying to save the company. No matter the why and the what, it appears to be a sinking ship. Glad you are talking to a professional and it sounds like he is giving you good advice.
Did get into the Farmington river for a little fly fishing yesterday afternoon. The girls were very good and just sat on the bank and watched me catch nothing. River was high and I darn near went for a swim.
Have a nice hike, Mike. I gots to go to work.

    Be OP ;-)

    Good morning gentlemen.

When the troubles at work started coming home with me, I retired. That has made a world of difference for me. I pray that you can find your happy place, Steve. If that means wearing a red vest at Lowe's the go for it.

I like to say that the fishing is always good. Sometimes the catching doesn't measure up.

Hope the PT goes well, today, Bill.

Get out for a good ride, today, Bob. The weather will be gorgeous.

Who are you helping today, Sam? Do something for yourself, too.

Color me jealous, Mike. I really wanted to go for a hike, today. DW had other plans, though, so I will be doing yard work and running errands.

I don't think I have anything green to wear, today. Hope no one punches me in the arm.

    Good Morning,
    Sounds like good advice Steve!
Taking it easy today because a bit damp here, tomorrow setting up ramp for older gentleman, will line up some strong backs for in the morning,
Crappie season is upon us here, they say white bass biting now also. If it warms up tomorrow afternoon may have to wet a hook.
Bill, hope knee is healing and flex is improving.

    Good Morning

Part of what helps me push through PT and all the exercise is knowing that I will be able to do some hiking and long walks again. I had a really good PT session. I continue to push hard and made some progress. I started the week with the Dr measuring me at 90°. Yesterday I kept working on the recumbent bike and was able to complete full rotations. Shocked my PT since I started out not even close to being able. I am now at 105°. I was beginning to wonder if I would get past 90°. Back at it today. I also am now encouraged to use the cane around the house more than the walker. Bonus points.

Steve, I am glad you had that talk with your Dr.

Steve: We don't know you personally but sounds like you need to change your job situation for your health and well being. BBL
