Good morning!
I am staying home today. I'm taking a mental health day. I went to bed at 7:00 last night, and Frankie let me sleep until 6:00 this morning. I hope that helps. I'm not sure what today will bring, but it is away from work. We are supposed to have cooler temps with rain this evening, and rain most of the weekend. It seems forever since we've had a warm sunny day.
I have been so tired lately, I'm sure a lot of it is just mental. I'm really hoping that this break helps.
Dave, the hike sounds fun. It also sounds like you made the right call with the crossing.
Have a great day!0 -
Mornin' gents.
Rest up, Steve! Good on you for taking a break.
My non replaced knee tricked out on me yesterday during dog training and blew up like a beach ball. I was able to continue, but gimping pretty badly.
Had Rheumatology recheck yesterday afternoon. He said get ye to the orthopedic and get this one replaced too. Unfortunately, I agree. He also told me he just turned 65 and is going to retire. I like this guy and told him I was not happy with him retiring.
Be OP ;-)

Good morning gentlemen.
We're back to mid-30s and showers, with some wet snowflakes thrown in for fun. You're not the only one impatient for warm sun, Steve. Hope the day off is rejuvenating.
Sorry about the knee, Lee. Sometimes these things are inevitable. I have met hikers, far up in the mountains, who were tramping with two artificial knees. Having the work done can keep you out in the field with the dogs for many years to come.
The cough I usually develop after a hike has stretched into another day. I stayed home from choir practice last night because I didn't want my hacking to be a distraction. I might take a Covid test, just to be safe. Anyway, I have things to keep me busy at home.0 -
Good Morning,
Up on mountain looking down on clouds, sunny here, cloudy down in town where we had breakfast. Eating way too much, though we are just eating two meals a day. Large country breakfast this morning steak this afternoon,
Steve, before I retired I learned a lot of daily self-talk was required daily, glad I stuck it out, Also learned to turn what I could not control over to higher power, Believe God does not give us more than we can handle, sometimes he will guide us in different directions. Prayer and meditation required daily with quite time to hear.
Sometimes when we do not care for our bodies properly, we require medical intervention, New joints has helped many keep active into old age.
Mike, sounds as government does not put much towards seniors; may need to be reminded they will be seniors before they know it.
Bill, hope knee is continuing to improve.
I've always viewed Bob as an example of how busy and active I should be,1 -
Sounds like a nice hike Dave.
Snowing right now in Beaverton OR near PDX but 34 deg. Huge snowflakes.
Haang in there Steve!
Sorry to hear your ORTHO guy is retiring Lee. Sounds like you (K)nee(d) him.
snow picking up with more huge flakes.0 -
😆 Bob!
Yeah, I would be a real cripple at this point without modern orthopedics.0
