Well, yesterday was a doozy for me. Got in a fender bender on my way to the hike meet-up place. Rear-ended a guy who stopped mid-intersection as I was looking the other way for traffic. No injuries but both bumpers crinkled.

Eventually went on to the hike with "Vintage Vagabonds" (local group of seniors that hike, bike, kayak, etc.) Nice scenery, across a cliff-top overlook, and along a rushing, splashing river. I overdressed, forecast said cold and rainy/snowy and instead it was sunny and got to 50º. Group moved very fast, even up steep hills, and I got overheated, got nauseous, flushed-- symptoms of heat exhaustion. Leader had to carry my pack last 1/2 mile while I stumbled into the parking lot half dressed trying to cool off. Humble pie for lunch?

Steve, Good luck in the job search. Did the best you could in a very crazy workplace.

Yesterday's hiking/driving lesson convinced me I need to a) lose weight b) walk a few miles minimum every day c) not be in a hurry driving anywhere.

Thick-as-pea-soup foggy this morning. Still patches and piles of snow everywhere in town, although valleys are all snow-free and rivers are gushing. Can't wait for spring to come again.

    Good morning gentlemen.

Rough day, Mike. Glad there was no lasting damage. Egos heal quickly. Good if you can follow your advice - good advice for all of us.

We are also missing what looked like spring a few days ago. Highs in the 40s instead of the normal high 50s and a mix of rain and snow in the mornings. Doesn't seem much like April, more like February.

My woodturning club went in with a couple others to pay for an online live demonstration, I think from Ireland. Anyway, that's how I will spend my morning.

    Happy All Fools Day,
Sorry about fender bender Mike, ego may be hurt now but pocketbook when insurance renews.
Most of us do not stay as busy and get physical exercise as we should; but medical field appreciates it and would not need near as many doctors and nurses if everyone cared for body and health. and health. Thunderstorms this morning but clearing around lunch with sun and upper 70's.

    Good Morning

I am sorry to hear about the fender bender Mike. But you are OK and that is what is important.

My back is in full rebellion now. I had to shut down yesterday and try to keep it under control. It would not tolerate much of my workout. I was awake up 3:30am in pain. This time I had brought some meds up with me and took a muscle relaxer and after a bit I was able to work my way downstairs to the recliner to find some on/off sleep. Bladder decided to get active as well. Fun morning! Nothing planned today. I just took my morning meds which still has half a dose of Percocet so things are manageable. I was planning on going off them all together Monday, but now we will see. I will work on taxes and continue to treat the back. I don't see the pain Doc for 2 weeks but I will talk to my PT about possibly having her guide my back onto a healthier trajectory post knee. I have fired more PTs than I have liked and she is on the short list for PTs I would trust my pain with. We have a nice stretch of spring weather ahead without rain which will be nice.

    Good evening!

We didn't have internet most of the morning. I couldn't get MFP to open on my phone. Relaxing day today. Connie and I went to Leavenworth (about 20 minutes) and shopped a quilting store and several antique stores. I enjoyed being out. It was still windy, but it got to almost 60 today. Yesterday was very windy and stormy. Fortunately, the worst of it was east of us. Arkansas got it particularly bad.

Sorry about the fender bender, Mike. Also sorry about you getting over heated. I wore too heavy of a jacket this morning, and ended up carrying it half of the time.

    Have a great evening!
