Good morning!
I got a bunch of yard work done yesterday despite the cold. Yesterday we broke a record for the lowest high temp. This morning it got down to 26. That is the 12th latest freeze for here, and also broke a record. Ugh.
Since I have been off work a few days, I have not been stress eating. I have lost over 3 pounds.
Connie was hacked last night, and she gave out information in error to a guy in Nigeria. We have shut down her credit card, her phone is suspended for at least 72 hours, and her Facebook page is gone. It was NOT a fun evening around here last night. Thankfully, we got it shut down before any money was taken, but we don't know what else may have been compromised.
Lots of house cleaning and other chores on tap for today.
Have a great day!0 -
Good Morning,
Cool this morning, warming to low 70's
Church then Sunday school
May go for a ride this afternoon,
Pray all ailing are feeling better soon.0 -
Mornin' gents.
Hacked! People with no conscience. The internet has just made it easier for these criminals. Glad no money lost, but sorry about the frustration and anxiety that go with getting hacked.
((Sigh)) This idiot is back to tracking every morsel. I cannot intuit for very long...I eventually lose perspective and control. MFP and fitbit databases seem to be linked. MFP keeps pushing me to go premium.
Raining most of the day. Will probably get some scrabble in with DW. We have fun with it. First I'll take the pups for a swim.
A relatively new member to our dog training group had a heart attack 4 weeks ago. Under 50. Had a stent procedure and is now experiencing short term memory loss and irritability. Really nice guy, and to make matters worse, has an old dog that needs to be put to sleep.
Be OP ;-)

Torrential rain on and off, and only in high 30's.
Trouble with our "connected" world is that crooks can connect with more victims.
I had my bypass when I was 50. Hopefully rehab can help regain full abilities. I experienced problems from heart meds, took time to work out and adjust.
Sam, have a nice ride.
I probably should go back to tracking everything I eat. Could use either MFP or Fitbit, which got bought by Google if not mistaken.
Wall street journal has a scary, recent video on a new iPhone flaw that thieves can use to hack your information.0 -
Good Morning
If the weather is anything like it is here it is a great day for a ride on Toad.
I am so sorry to hear of the hacking. Glad you got it shut down so quickly. But the inconvenience is extraordinary.
We had a busy day yesterday. We got the kitchen cabinets and countertop ordered yesterday with plenty of drama. But I was able to get another employee to work it out. We know have 15 boxes in our living room that couldn't be shipped from the warehouse and we had to have a local service deliver from the store. We ordered the dishwasher as well. We have discovered that we like new appliances vs 20+ year old ones. Not sure what the day will bring0 -
Good morning gentlemen.
Later check in for me, again.
Good rule of thumb: no financial institution will ever contact you by phone or internet to request any personal information. Never, ever. Even when we were contacted and told that there were suspicious charges on our credit card, I called back on the number I already had, to verify.
We had a pretty good day, yesterday. After kids' soccer, the six of us went out to lunch at a local Asian restaurant that turned out to be pretty good, then we met up again for a nice walk with Sassy around the waterfront in Olympia, followed by the variety show at church. Just pleasant, all around.
I have church this morning, followed by the monthly meeting of church elders, which lasts for a couple hours. I'm hoping it will be dry enough to take Sassy out for another walk.
I have not been tracking, but I have been much more mindful, and have lost 5.5 lbs. in the last week. Now if I could keep that rate up to lose another 15 lbs. I would be back at my old WW goal. Not likely to happen, I know. That first 5 comes off much easier than the rest of it.0 -
Hope your sing went well last night at your variety show to raise funds for church music Dave.
Yea I too could see Lee out in the hinterlands with a small vet practice, huntin' and fishin'.
OH NO Steve! Hasate to hear that Connie got hacked. We got several calls from a Moroccan rug merchant who said he was in town and did we not want to invite him over for a cup of coffee etc.
Yes years ago (10 years?) we did buy a beautiful rug in Morocco but don't need another one or to be best buddies. It could of course be a scam too from someone hacking into his account.
Finally bought 2 tomato plants (Stupice, an ultra early variety and Siletz, a dependable producer in bad weather years and a modest determinate sized tomato) Got some nice lettuce starts and some round Parisiene carrot starts
