Car going into the shop today for routine oil, etc., and stuck handbrake cable. Watched Red Sox pound the Bluejays last night, and Return of the Jedi during commercials, with the Panamerican Tag championship squeezed in between, while DS skillfully wielded the TV remote. I get dizzy visiting him.
DGD graduates from college in L.A. today. Some of the family flew out to see it, I sent along a card and some paintings I did for her. She'll be home for a few months, has job in Chicago after that.
Heard state tax revenues down 1-1/2 billion this year, no concerns about pension fund yet. Town votes Monday on raising taxes over limit to keep library and sr. center open.

Mornin' gents
Cinco de Mayo. Even my 73 yr old sister is planning on having a margarita somewhere.
Overdid it with 🍹 on my 50th...I will probably never have another.
Congrats to DGD, Mike. Was there an explanation as to why the tax revenue is down?
Off to the lab for blood draw and the work.

Good morning gentlemen.
I didn't sleep well last night, but Sassy insisted we get up at 5:30. Then I discovered the USB cord for my hearing aid charger worked loose and both my hearing aids have dead batteries. And it's starting to rain. I fear it's going to be that kind of day.
The last of our planned painting/renovation contractors is coming over this morning. The two bids we have now are so widely different you would think they were for two different houses. We'll see where today's comes in.

My retiree association newsletter says our state tax revenues are down because the economy is down.0

Good Morning
Yesterday was a good day. I finished PT. With the progress I have made calming down the tight piriformis and IT band she gave me some ideas on how to help resolve the soreness/pain. I pulled out The Stick from my running days. It helped. I was on my feet for several hours with shopping and errands yesterday, and walked without limping. It helped the low back a little too. Progress! Today I will be doing some chores and packing an overnight bag. Tomorrow, Heather and I will make one last trip down thru Monterey, Pacific Grove, Carmel & Big Sur to the Central Coast. We have some wine to pick up at Hearst Ranch Winery as well. Cambria and the Central Coast is place we have gone to the most besides Yosemite in our almost 41 years of marriage. We are only spending the night but will have a good chunk of two days to walk on the beach, visit some favorite restaurants, and browse the town. There will be wine with the sunset.1 -
