Playing hooky from jury duty felt good.
Got second opinion on our well situation. Turns out our well is definitely low. Difference in opinion on hydrofracking the well vs just drilling a new well. Hydrofracking is way less expensive but may not work. Still no explanation why the water table is so low when we are surrounded by wet lands and live near a naturally occurring lake.
Going to the Yankee vs Tampa Bay game tomorrow with DW, then back home, then back to NYC for Mother's Day Brunch with her DS and her Dear neice and my DS#2 on Sunday.
Got my fingers crossed for Steve.

    Be OP ;-)

    Morning…

Paddling again today. Skipping funeral in Bangor and will visit friend there in coming weeks. Hope to do some camping while I am there.

I ordered some plastic barrels for canoe camping to replace the homebrew buckets I’ve been using. The lids kept cracking, risking soaked camping gear. And the buckets also weren’t big enough for my CPAP and power station, so I’d pack those in vinyl drybags, risking breakage if dropped. Barrels! Tough plastic, a sealed lid secured by a leveraged clamp. (I always get excited over new camping gear.)

My weight got up over 200 the other day. Time to $#|+ or get off the pot.

    Good morning gentlemen.

Have to get the drip system going, for the hanging baskets around the back deck. It will be in the 80s of even 90s for the next week. And with our upcoming trip to Las Vegas, I need to ensure the plants don't die. I bought a digital timer a couple years ago that makes the setup really easy. There used to be lots of trial and error.

Made a decision on a painting contractor. Today I'll start on the scheduling part. We're hoping for June or July.

    Good Morning

Lee, your well situation touches on one of our concerns when we move. Some of the homes use well water which makes us who always get our water through a city pipe. We keep asking what happens when the well runs dry and how much is that going to cost.

Still praying for Steve and Connie as they wait and the decisions ahead.

The back is stiff as can be. Trying a heating pad to jump start the morning. Hopefully stretching will yield results beyond my vocalizations of the joy of doing it. In the meantime its back to packing what I can. I went through our food stuffs yesterday. Remarkable how much stuff (and now waste) was in those upper upper cabinets. My missing kitchen cabinet arrives today. I am down to just missing to cabinet doors for above the stove which should be available in the next 2 weeks if I keep checking and reserve them as soon as they show up in inventory. Its getting hot out there. It will need to switch the A/C system on for the weekend.
