It wasn't a car accident as originally reported. He died trying to save his dog. Typical Russell call to action.

Awesome, Steve.
Thanks for the kind words, gents.

Good morning!
Lee, such a tragic story. Prayers for the family, and prayers for you, his friend.
After two days, still lovin' my new job. I spoke with my counselor last night via video chat. She said that I look younger and less stressed. She said that the change in jobs is very visible on my physically. That is what I was looking for. I knew that last job was most certainly affecting my health in a negative way.
I am starting to feel some of my old energy coming back again.
Mike, don't forget to send pictures as you get your new gizzmo figured out!
Have a great day!0 -
Good morning gentlemen.
Just so sad, Lee.
You do seem to have an endless string of graduations, Mike.
Enjoy the new job, Steve - but don't build unrealistic expectations, either. One thing I learned long ago was that you should never get to down, or up, in life. Maintain the even strain, as they used to say. Advice I should follow better myself.
We spent the morning out running around, yesterday, between Rita's appointment and some shopping. In the afternoon I took Sassy for a nice long (5+ miles) walk on forest trails at a nearby state park.
Contractor is coming over this morning to take measurements for materials needed to do all the repairs prior to painting the house. At least this is a step forward, We hope that we will get an idea of when the carpenter will do his work, so we can plan our schedule around that. I'm hoping it will be in the next two weeks.

Good Morning
Steve, I am glad things are going well and you are seeing an impact on your quality of life so quickly.
Not much sleep last night. I woke up at 2am wrestling a bit with my CPaP mask before removing it. But then I was pretty achy as well. I eventually gave up and came downstairs to sit in the recliner more comfortably and hopefully fall asleep. I will need a lay down later. My back may be a bit sore from the increase in walking and exercise. I walk till my back starts to feel it. I will back off a bit today. We had a good finance meeting yesterday to make sure I was thinking properly and to get more cash out for the interim and think through SS and the next 6 mos financially. It is always good to get some feedback on ones plans.0
