    Good morning gentlemen.

Awake at 2:30. Gave up and got out of bed at 4:30. So early Sassy didn't come downstairs with me. There will be a nap in my afternoon plans, I think.

I need to cut down three trees next ti the church parking lot, today. Two of them should be no problem, but the third, and largest of them is a severe leaner that will take some care. I used to be pretty good at this kind of stuff. We'll see how it goes. At the very least, I'll get some fresh wood for my lathe. We have hired a contractor to remove a large maple tree. I'll get some of that, too.

Elementary school talent show, this evening. I don't know what the grandkids are doing, if anything. But we'll be there.

    Good Morning.

A hot one here yesterday, hot again today, but then T-storms, and then greatly cooling off.

I finished the last parts of the piano hauling winch gizmo. I'll post a picture when I get a chance.

Telemed visit with apnea doc this morning, and graduation this evening. We've had five in the family this spring. It's wonderful to see the young accomplish something, but these ceremonies are so long and tiring to sit through; and five is way more than enough for this 74 year old.

I seem the pulmonologist once a year. My CPAP seems to function well enough, and every five years insurance covers a new one, and they keep making improvements in how it functions. I don't know how many years I went not even knowing I had apnea.

Lee, that's a shame that poor fellow died like that. Only recently retired. I love dogs, but I don't know if I would have waded into a raging river like that to help; but in the intensity of the moment we all act on our gut instincts. He must have been a fine fellow. RIP...

    Good Morning

Yesterday was one of those back days an my piriformis started getting tight and a bit sore. I assume I ramped up my activity too fast, especially the walking so I rested, iced and tensed the back and watched tennis. I got things calmed down and a late afternoon Tramadol helped alot. Slept well last night and am back to "normal" today. A call to my contractor yesterday about when the would empty my garage again revealed that the removal of the packing materials etc was not in the quote, only the demo materials. I am going out there and sort through it all separating the cardboard from other debris, cut the flooring into small pieces and reduce the volume to minimize the fee. I will likely have to rent a truck to get it down the road to the transfer station. Countertop folks come today to do the template. Then a two week wait for the install. Then contractor comes back to finish things off. Light at the end of the tunnel.

    Good Morning,
    Beautiful day here,
Bill better to slow down and keep going than to not be able to do anything, construction on home one is trying to live in is never fun.
Be careful Dave and have someone to help you or at least be there incase you run into an issue.
DMIL is in process of purging her junk and trying to think who she can push it upon; cannot understand grandkids do not have same taste and value; 95 vs teens

This lies down on a porch or truck bed and connects with hinges (hidden in photo) to the top of my ramp, by sliding in hinge pins. The winch handle comes off for a socket on my cordless drill to speed up reeling the cable. Haven’t tested it yet—will get my football player DGSs to back me up on that. The Allen wrench is to tap out the hinge pins. The corner braces are to deter the cable from wandering off the pulley until it lifts off as the piano passes overhead. The winch hook fastens onto a towing strap around the piano, which sits on a dolly.
