    Good Morning

Lee, you and Mike make Maine seem so inviting. Good thing it is beautiful.

Yesterday the woman who owns the unit next to ours came up from San Jose, where she now resides and brought a guy who has an old Uhaul. This guy emptied my backyard of all container plants. She took it all. Watching this guy work was amazing. He moved never lifted anything unless it was small enough to carry. He was a maestro with the dolly only tilting things. He used to have his a small private moving company. I talked to him about moving us out of the house and into the Pod in August if he could find a second person since he would be able to load it properly. Over 80 plants left yesterday. It was hard to watch some of them go. Some I have had for over 15 years, nursed back to life after sever heat spikes in drought, surprise frosts, etc.

Today Heather and I will go to a garden at an old Mansion, Fioli Gardens. Since we were dating we have always gone to gardens to walk, talk and picnic. I was a more than broke seminary student, she was a cute coed. Student IDs would get us in for a quarter each. Now we get the senior discount and it is a whole lot more than a quarter. We are celebrating our 41st anniversary which is tomorrow.

OK, I posted on the wrong day. Copied and pasted here:

    Good morning gentlemen.

Left the big fan blowing all night but unplugged it when I got up. I don't think any insulation got wet. Most likely the water ran down the vapor barrier on the inside of the insulation, then across the ceiling drywall. As near as I can tell, reaching up through the hole where the can light goes, it is dry as a bone up there, now. This just seems to continue my knack for choosing the wrong contractor. It will turn out OK in the end, I am sure.

Enjoy Maine, bugs and all. Maine is one of the eight states I have never visited. No Army business there that I was involved in.

I am the lay reader at church this morning, so need to get there a little early. Really no different on timing from singing in the choir. Choir is done for the summer. Meeting up with the rest of the family after church to go for a walk.
