Controlling Sodium Intake

Started eating Mediterranean diet last week (or as best I could) and realized my sodium intake was higher than I like. One dish comes to mind that had high sodium was Baked Cod; also, couscous, olives, egg substitute were higher in sodium. Any suggestions?

Unless I'm baking, I will often leave out the salt when cooking, usually with dinner. Also, I have rinsed olives, artichoke hearts, and similar items to reduce the salt. Good luck. I've lost weight and feel better since I started following the diet.0
