Back from the woods. Busy day ahead--church, 9 y.o. DGS birthday party, burgers at DS's tonight, unpacking my car so I can leave at body shop tomorrow. Will catch up later.0

Mike, I'm glad that you made it back. I hope you have some good stories to share.
I didn't do much yesterday, so I'll be catching up on household chores today. Storms are also moving in, so there probably won't be yard work today.
I have been working much harder on losing weight. I think that I am making progress, but my weight was up 1.6 pounds this week. I know that it will be up and down, but it is still frustrating.

Heading into NYC with DW to brunch with DS#2. Nice day for a walk across the Brooklyn Bridge with DW. She made me a favorite last night, dill chicken salad. Then a big surprise dessert of berry cobbler, also a favorite.
Have been neglecting my wee veggie garden, sort of. Feeding and watering consistently, but left beds bare after throwing down weed emergent prevention. Decided yesterday to mulch, but had to rework the soil between plants to get rid of emerging weeds and throw down more weed prevention. DW likes it when the bed looks neat, and I gotta say it does give me some satisfaction as well. Bittersweet vines and poison ivy showing up everywhere. Try to pull the bittersweet from the roots and succumb to spraying the poison ivy.
Sam, you wrote "Lee, try taking a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar with orange juice in morning and 1/2 tsp of baking soda at night with water, should be a little better in about a week; can up soda to a full tsp after a week."
I will give that a go, I got nothing to lose. Although I will need to be careful with the baking soda, because I am very sodium sensitive.

Heather is fighting off a cold, so it was a quiet day around here. Just some groceries and slowly working through a cabinet for packing trying not to reminisce too much when I came upon the boys school stuff, etc. More of the same today, and then dinner with the boys.0 -

Got in an early nice dry ride today with even a pinch of sunlight. Rain later.
