Bible study this morning. Bought a box of cider donuts for the group... "lead us not into temptation"
Very, very foggy this morning, and cool. Having quite a rainy spell the past week.
I've never been inside a cave, thank you. There are some grottos I've seen--overhanging rocks that provide a shelter--that the indians once used as hunting camps, I am told. One is in a park in the next town, and another along rte. 9 a half hour away. There's also large boulders I've visited that were meeting places of the tribes, and a series of pools alongside a small amphitheater of rocks, which was used by a Pilgrim missionary who baptised indian converts. Interesting history in little Massachusetts. Recently they have found intact dugout canoes buried in a swamp and at the bottom of a lake, 500 years old. Said were buried over the winter to prevent neighboring tribes from stealing.0 -

Good morning gentlemen.
This will be Day 2 of the house-painting week. Yesterday, three men worked on caulking and filling. Today they should get to actual painting.
DS came over for supper, last night. Rita had sauerkraut and pork going low and slow for six hours, at his request. House smelled great. DDIL took the kids camping, Sunday. They'll return tomorrow.0 -
Good morning!
Dave, I hope that the painting goes smoothly. Dinner sounds great!
Bill, I hope that your painting, flooring, etc. all go smoothly. I'm still praying for your pain management.
We had a couple days of relative cool. Today it is supposed to get back into the mid/upper 90s, and the humidity will start building in. We get to enjoy a taste of what Texas has been going through as the heat dome moves northward.
Connie and I weeded and steaked the tomatoes last night. So far, so good!
Work is still awesome!
Have a great day!

Good Morning
I was a bit under the weather yesterday fighting a cold Heather brought home from the school. I just made calls and did some planning on moving. We picked a date to try to schedule to move out so the POD could be delivered and painting etc can commence. I need to pick up the pace though. A couple more calls to make on this stuff. I am finally going back on Meloxicam today. I can begin to resume my workouts too. Cold tablets are helping with cold symptoms too. I am running out of excuses for not getting things done.0 -
Oh Sam! so sorry about the deer. Deer have een been known to mow down a whole row of hot peppers in Oregon for those who think sprinkling with hot pepper powder etc helps.
Ooooh luv me some sauerkraut!!! Nice weather right now with lows in the mid 50s and highs grazing 80 deg for a few minutes daily.
Hope all can find some pain relief.
