    Good morning.

I'm up early because I don't think anyone really sleeps particularly well the night before a funeral anyway. I needed a shower and shave after yesterday's stress fest of getting to Louisville anyway.

It also gives me a little bit of "me" time before everything follows a plan and all the rules kick in.

Limo arrives in 2 hours. And visitation - which I abhor from either side of this process starts in 2-1/2.

Hang in there, Lou. You are a good son. Did you write the obit? That was a wonderful obituary.

    GM~

Sending you thoughts as you endure today, Lou! Hang in there . Travel sounded horrible!

Took day off today (Monday too). Going to follow the lead of Lou and go get a shave, haircut.

This afternoon, I have appt for a golf swing assessment.

    Safe travels today Ron/Steph!

WITW have you been Ms. Moody? Hope all is well in IN!

SGM - pics of the completely painted diggs?

Hows DMIL faring in new place, Sam? More importantly, how is this transition on DW and you?

Another hot and hazy day (Canada wildfires smoke has our entire region under CODE RED AQI).

    Cheers,
    Skipper

    Good morning BBB friends.

It's a hard part of life, Lou. Painful to get through. Focus on happy memories, I guess.

They finished the house painting, yesterday, and we have our yard back. I'll take some photos this morning, though DW wants to wait until we replace the light fixtures. Who knows when that will be? I'm really loving the new colors.

Several small tasks related to the painting are on my plate for the day: getting the house numbers reinstalled, adjusting the strike plate on the new backdoor deadbolt, staining weathered parts of the front steps and back deck (which look really bad next to the new paint).

    • My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family Lou.
    • I learned about Shiva.
    • I battled with a malfunctioning smoke detector last night. How did these things get so complicated.
    • Looking forward to the Tumwater house pics.
    • Safe travels Steph.
    • It's going to be a hot weekend in GA.

    Condolences Lou

Our homeowners had travel delays last night and didn't get in until 1:30. I stayed up to let them in as they had no house keys. Ron went to bed early but then was up most of the rest of the night.

Looking forward to our Hyatt Regency stay tonight. Flight tomorrow is direct to Phoenix amd leave at 7 so an early morning but not crazy.

Mary enjoy the family time at the lake.

    Good Afternoon,
    Prayers for Lou and Family,
Smoke detectors are now required to be hard wired plus a battery backup, your government at work for you.
Hope all have a great long weekend,
Toad going in for service tomorrow, supposed to be back Monday.
DW is still struggling to get all paperwork together for government agencies for DMIL, she went by to see DMIL today and she wanted to come to house to go through paperwork, she did not do anything knowing what was needed two weeks before she moved, in fact she only took seven sets of clothes.
