Im awake too early on a vacation day!
Just me and dh for a couple of days now. Yay. So quiet on the lake last evening,, many folks gone Now we have lake to ourselves lol.
We close on lot tomorrow but they've already asked to stay another week to empty off junk. Old construction wood, tires, etc. Fine with us.... said their other neighbor really wanted to buy their lot and couldn't believe we moved on it so fast. Lol Early birds get the worm!
I only now wear Hokas. They've helped to heal my plantar fascists. $150 a pair is worth it. Love them

Good morning BBB friends.
When you find a shoe that really suits your feet, it's worth paying a bit extra. Sometimes it works the other way, too. Rita looked at some expensive, highly rated hiking shoes, once, but found a cheaper brand fitted her better. She has many happy miles on them. Feet are all different.
Sassy was completely unimpressed with the battle sounds that rocked our neighborhood last night. She's a good Army dog, unbothered by artillery sounds.1 -

- Nice neighborhood party yesterday but I think I got overheated. Didn't feel well last night. Better today.
- The best day at the lake is when all the 'tourist' go home.
- Today is DW birthday.

Morning BBB
My last Hokas didn't last very long before the rubber sole just disintegrated. Was not good as we were in Mexico with no good options to replace. I loved them for fit and comfort.
Folling the recommendation of the REI shoe salesperson I went with Saloman. We will see.
Fireworks are banned here except for professional shows so it was a relatively quiet night. We did a gin taste test yesterday with the 4 kinds of gin our homeowners had. Found the one he likes best and we will go get a bottle one day. I'm not a huge gin fan but it was fun to have the side by side comparison. His favorite is beefeaters 24 but we can't find that in Mesa hence the need to find a backup. Bombay sapphire was the clear winner.
I'm trying hard to stay on East coast time so getting our exercise in before the heat of the day. I do not at all like getting up at 6am or going to bed at 10. But it just makes sence here.0 -

Pooped. Leftovers tonight or we are going out.
Pool looks great. I got sunburned yesterday on my back whilst fishing with my
Mom. She got too hot and had to go inside. My cousin who’s going through a divorce after 42 years fished with me. Dh did too. I think he was hating every minute of it but later said that he did have fun. Cousin had a terrific time.
Wisconsin is hot so I’m hearing.0
