Mike is camping.
Steve is sleeping in. Late night doing MADD, I imagine.
I did go pike hunting and saw not one fish. It was too hot. Surface temp of the water was 80 degrees. My fish finder was only marking fish 15 ft or deeper and I wasn't going to get that deep with a fly. They might have also been deep in some of the weed beds. I couldn't even get a bass or perch to play. Heck, I might have pushed it a little too far with the heat myself. There was no breeze and when you are fly casting, you can't have the canvas sun shade up. I should have had some live bait and gear to get the bait deep in the holes where they were holding with an ice chest full of cold drinks and maybe a sandwich, but so not my style of fishing. Maybe when the grandchild comes along. Got home and relaxed with a fan (no AC in our house) and some tonic water on ice. I did go out and get some yard work done after 4 PM when it started cooling off a bit. It hit 91 yesterday with high humidity. Good for tomatoes. Tough on people and dogs.
Back to work today and tomorrow.
Be OP ;-)

Good morning!
Lee, don't forget that you are an hour ahead of us! It is not even 5:30 as I type this and I have been up for 45 minutes. Thank you, Frankie! Yes, very tired after MADD last night.
Lee, sorry your fishing trip was a bust. I cannot imagine having a house with no air conditioning. That is just not in my personal experience.
Bill, praying for positive medical results, no back pain, and super cheap, awesome, and fast contractors.
We are expecting a few days of cooler temps in the mid 80s to low 90s.
For a short week, this week has seemed very long.
Have a great day!0 -
We have one window unit in a guest room that also has my gun safe. Small room and really no where to sit other than on the bed. But I do sometimes sneak in there. DW cannot abide with AC.0

Good morning gentlemen.
We got by without AC for years, just fine - here on Puget Sound. Didn't like that, at all, when we lived in the Midwest.
It is cooling down today, with a high in the upper 70s. Should be very pleasant.
I spent two years as an avid fly fisherman, in Alaska. I did some nymph fishing with a sink-tip line, but that was wading on a stream, without a fish finder. Now I fish sitting on the bank of a lake reading a book and waiting for the fish to come to me.0 -
Good Morning
If I were to ever start fishing again I think I would go with Dave's methodology and weather.
Cooling continues as we might not see 70 today. Last Saturday it hit 109. Strange. But 70 works for us just fine. Biopsy came back positive. Half of the cores they took were positive with a liklihood that it has spread beyond the prostate. So another scan to look beyond the prostate, some injections and today I try to track down an appointment with the recommended Radiation Oncologist. Lots of information came at me yesterday and I will have to review it more today. But I live by faith and the Lord has me in a good place in my journey for this, as much as I hate it and am weary of medical stuff. It was hard telling family though. Heather had lost track of why I was going to the Dr today. Back to packing today. We are still pushing to sell the house to take advantage of the market. We will just have to rent for a bit longer down here until I can transition care to Eugene depending on how this plays out. I got to track down a couple of painters who haven't responded to my requests for and estimate. Sound familiar Dave?0 -
Bill, I am so sorry to hear about your biopsy results. Faith is a great source of comfort and courage when facing such challenges. I'll be praying for you and especially for Heather.0

Oh no, dang. Prostate cancer treatments have come a long way. Fingers crossed the petscan is negative.0
