Good morning gentlemen.
Going to be a cooler day, in Tumwater, with a high of 70. Still dry, though. I have some work to do at our church. I volunteered to refinish some park benches outside the entrance to the sanctuary. It just involves sanding hem down, then applying a stain. I think it will take me several trips to accomplish the task. I'm not putting in a full day.
We are scheduled to go camping with DS and DDIL, next week. The trip is to a town in Eastern Washington - the hot side of the state. We have tipis reserved at a state park, so we don't need our tent. Highs are forecast in the 90s every day. I am not looking forward to this. I don't think Sassy will like it much, either. Don't want to disappoint the kids who planned this trip, though.0 -
Mornin’. Back from camping, raining here with flash flood warnings.
Had a nice visit with kids and grandkids. It was hot but not unbearable, and the last night a foggy mist was so thick it collected on trees and dripped on everything, like it had rained. Now I have to dry my tent out so it doesn’t get moldy.
Bill, very sorry about your biopsy. Hope things can work out. Keep the faith…
PT today again. My tennis elbow is still sore and I’m not getting in the PT stuff at home I should, with camping with GK’s who want me to go bike riding, campfire building, looking for toads, etc. Their parents were exhausted at the end. I fell asleep in church last night during the sermon.
Will be doing yet another camping trip on Thursday, in Maine for 7 days.
Off to the drive-thru for coffee because my coffee is packed somewhere in the car.0 -
Good Morning
So Mike, you are home just long enough to dry out the tent, do laundry, reload the car and return to the woods?
Made some packing progress yesterday, with more on tap today. The painter my realtor recommended came by yesterday to discuss the project. I have another coming tomorrow. Today is PT and making more progress. I haven't been feeling well energy wise so I rest a bit. I find it annoying. I think I am just stressed a bit. Today if I don't find my license, I will apply for a replacement. I searched yesterday. I reprinted temporary insurance cards yesterday. I need to track down an appointment for the PET scan today as well.0 -
Had my first regular tomato today (not cherry or plum tomato) which was an ultra-early variety Stupice. Delicious.
Got to 85deg yesterday 10 deg warmer and will be at least 10 deg cooler in tyhe 70s today. Even had a few seconds of mist fall on us whilst walking. Hang in there Bill and hope ya find your license too.
I am off for some oral surgery today. Does it ever end????
Having an extraction and implant. They plan on a two stage procedure. They will extract and put in the implant today.
Will enjoy another garden tomato for lunch today beore the surgery.0 -
Afternoon gents.
The teepee camping sounds intriguing. I bet you have fun with the grands.
We got about 4 inches of rain overnight. West Point got 8 inches in a few hours and had serious flooding, including a mudslide into a non military residence killing a 30 yr old woman.
Insurance red tape is getting worse not better with the digital age. Sounds like you have a good handle on it, Bill.
Be OP 😉0 -
Afternoon,
They say I had another incident last Tuesday, I do not remember; but am feeling better now. Only difference I see is left hand and arm does not respond as I would like and leg kind of drags. Energy level down.
Sorry about test results Bill, praying for quick recovery and sale of condo.
I don't mind camping at Holiday Inn Express; that is enough roughing it for me.
Deer have eaten more than half of my tomatoes, rabbits are eating what deer knock off. Was expecting an abundant crop of tomatoes that could be shared with many neighbors, now I hope we have enough for ourselves.
Very wet day here, at least cooler today.0
