Have fun camping, Mike. Hope the bugs don't eat you alive.
Dave, you're 14 mile hike is super impressive. I understand the need to be alone on the trail.
Bob, how much percocet are you taking? LOL. Glad it went well, hope today is painless too.
Adventure in the salt Wednesday night was more of a misadventure. After getting out to the area that we fish in pitch black darkness (no moon), we caught just one striped bass too short to keep for dinner, we started moving to other spots. Finally find a spot right in front of the Light house (still pretty inky black on the water), my fishing buddy hooked into a very large fish that broke off before he got it to the boat. So as we were going back for another drift over that spot, my Suzuki outboard decided to have a heart attack. It didn't die, but darn near and it was the end of us fishing. Couldn't go over 5 knots on the way back in to the launch. Took forever and my fishing buddy was driving me nuts with him trying to diagnose the problem and telling me what to do. I suspect it is a fuel delivery problem. Anyway, spent most of yesterday recovering from lack of sleep, then cleaning the boat and gear. I will work on diagnosing the problem later.
DBIL is having prostatectomy today. Will drive into NYC to pick him up from the hospital tomorrow and go for a walk. He is suppose to walk 2 miles a day starting with tomorrow. Should be interesting with an indwelling urethral catheter.
Wishing you a speedy and complete recovery, Sam.

Good morning!
Lee, sorry the fishing trip ended as a bust. You'll just have to get back out there again soon! Prayers for your DBIL and speedy recovery.
Sam, praying for you.
Bill, I'm glad that it went well at the DMV. I hope that the painting goes smoothly for you.
Dave, it sounds like you had an awesome hike. Good for you!
I'm glad that today is Friday. Work has been hard this week, but rewarding.
Have a great day!0 -
Good morning gentlemen.
It was great to get out in the woods, yesterday.
You're a good man, Lee, for helping your DBIL. Hope he recovers quickly.
Our painting contractor is coming over at 8 to look at some places where the caulking has opened up. Then, after a quick turnaround, I have a dermatology appointment at 9:45. A 1/4-inch mole that has always itched, has recently grown to 3/4 inch, with a white center. I don't want to take any chances. I called yesterday and they had a cancelation today. Funny, that this suspicious mole is right next to the scar where I had a melanoma removed 24 years ago. If nothing else, I want to get the thing removed because it is annoying. It is right between my shoulder blades, where I can't reach, and it itches like a mosquito bite.
On the scale, yesterday, I was down 7 lbs. from 10 days before. That's a good thing, but I have lost that same 7 lbs. multiple times over the last six months. I need to take off the next 7 lbs., rather than backslide.0 -
Good Morning
That was quite a fishing trip Lee
Dave, I am glad you can get that thing attended to so quickly.
I check in with the Knee Surgeon this morning. I don't expect much to come of it. Tree removal today. Once that is done we can do the rest of the work fixing up the yard. I am hiring the kid next door to help me with the work. Back to my exciting world of sorting and packing.0 -
Appreciate everyone's prayers, doing better can lift arm today; still not much strength in hand and DW claims I'm dragging leg.
Hope you have a great camping trip Mike.
Good pictures on facebook Dave.
Hope all pain is gone Bob0 -
I actually only took two percocet tablets, one late afternoon and one at 10 pm day of oral surgery. Pain has gone indeed. bye bye
14 miles Dave??? Wow indeed.
Wow walking 2 miles a day with catheter is impressive.
So lee did you return to the launch site using a small trolling motor???? It seems like most folks have two outboard motors on their fishing boats, one large one and one small one. I assume you limped back with a small trolling motor.
Hang in there Sam with your recovery!!!
Good luck with your Knee Surgeon Bill!!!
Onward and upward gang!!!

LOL, Bob. I had removed the trolling motor on the bow to make it easier to fish at night with a high beam light that also mounts on the bow. Thankfully, the engine ran good enough to sputter us back to the launch. It took forever, but we got there eventually. Thankfully again, the seas were pretty calm. Closest I have ever come to having to call Sea Tow.0
