Safe travels for Cecilia. So sorry to hear about her mum. Sound NG.
DBIL is undergoing a prostatectomy today.
Night fishing trip was a bit of a misadventure. 2 hour drive to launch, navigated to tricky spot on reefs and caught a short striped bass, developed engine trouble and had to sputter back to the launch frustrated. Got home about 3 am. Enjoyed the time with my fishing buddy, even though he was so annoying with his engine problem theories on the slow ride back into the launch. He is one of those guys that always thinks it is the most complicated and worst case scenario issue. Smart guy (science teacher), not much practical experience.

Supposed to be off today - but still pull into a few phone calls this morning. Hopeful for some pool time later.

Cecilia's mom finally started responding to insulin yesterday afternoon and Cecilia got to chat with her on video before getting on her plane. Her flight has arrived, but she hasn't checked in with me yet to share her latest flying horror story - and there's always a story when she flies.

- The Summer of Lou in Austin. What could go wrong with that? Best wishes for your DW and DMIL.
- My DB has a follow up Dr. appt. today. Says he is still in quite a bit of pain.
- My DW is working way more than she would like to due to some medical issues with her co-workers.
- Every Harley ride who could possibly make it is in Milwaukee this weekend for their 120th Anniversary Homecoming. I image traffic is a mess. Have fun Mary.
- There may be a haircut and Costco run in my near future.

Good dw is there now Lou and she can help out her Mom navigate this illness. You behave yourself now, lol
Highs to upper 80s today. Got a shower this morning and more coming tonite.
Dh will travel to lake Sat alone. He needs to meet with previous lot owner, make sure all their stuff and junk is off our new property and collect the shed keys from them. I'm staying home on Maddie dog watch duty if needed. Dr says it won't be long now for baby to come. My guess is this

Had a nice walk in the forest, yesterday. Good for my mental state.
Have to see a dermatologist this morning, to check a suspicious mole in the middle of my back. I get nervous about these things. This one is right next to the scar from where a melanoma was removed 24 years ago. The legacy of a youth spent trying to make my northern German pale skin look like it was from the Mediterranean.0 -

Our desert hike with a ranger was informative but probably only half the distance we normally do. Learned much about desert plants. There is another hike today but I think a bike ride today. There is a lecture about bats at 9 :30 so might stop by that. It's not far and maybe we can just bike there.

They are finally putting down final topping on our roads in older part of neighborhood; cannot get out without getting tar on vehicle.
90's today with heat index over a hundred degrees causing pop up showers to make humidity worst.
I'm staying in air conditioning.

I've always believed in fishing it is the journey but whacking smartie with a paddle does sound like fun. I'm more of a fishman like Dave, prop up poles and read a good book while listening and watching to nature.
Mary, I'll predict baby comes next week; boys are generally lazy and slow, girls are impatient and tend to come on time or a little early.
I thought it was time for a Costco run yesterday but DW says no; maybe next week.0
