    Tuck and I up early to get ready for the Wounded Warrior "Vettes for Vets" car show. DW going to come tailgate with me too - will be a long (hot day)!

    #SummerofLou needs to be a solo hashtag. What is in store today? Glad to hear C's mom is responding to treatments!

    Good morning.

    #SummerOfLou will be somewhat muted with services getting me up early and the rules of the mourning period keeping things in check. No live music, performances, going to movies, etc. And while I like my bourbon, it's not constructive to work my way through my inventory to celebrate my "freedom".

    I think Summer of Lou is going to be a rededication to eating better and moving more to get these 10 pounds off that I've accumulated since moving here. With her in Brazil, I can return to my old Spartan dietary methods and get myself back where I like to be. Not exactly lampshade on your head excitement, but it's still very much focused on me that way.

    Lunch today at the rabbi's house. Was going to be next week, but my weekends are remarkably free now, so I'm ripping the band-aid.

    Good moirning BBB friends.

    Going to be a quiet day in Tumwater, too. Forecast is for heat, with a high of 90. We have already put in our mileage walking. In a few minutes I'll get out and mow the lawn. Then it will be indoor activities for the heat of the day.

    I took Rita out to a high-end steakhouse last night. I had the 45-day, dry-aged ribeye. I had never had the aged beef before. It was great. Good that it was also pretty expensive, so I am not tempted to go there very often. Definitely on our special-occasion rotation, though.

    Lots of Harley riders from all over the world here. Weird not partaking this year in all the HD hoopla.

    Dh left for lake. I'm waiting for the come get Maddie call just in case.
