Good morning!
We received almost another inch of rain yesterday. This is good for relieving the drought. It is also good in that I could not work outside yesterday afternoon, so I took a nap. This weekend has worn me out.
Collin is still not working. I know that we enable him. He is 30 years old now. Connie is angry with me because I refuse to be "her knight in shining armor." What that means in part is that I need to stop avoiding with Collin and take care of that situation. This is beyond frustrating for me.
Connie speaks in Leavenworth tonight. I'll be driving her.
Have a great day!0 -
Bloodwork today. GP wants to make sure liver values are OK so she can prescribe paxlovid for me to have when we go to Germany next week. She feels if I catch COVID over there, it might be good to have on hand since I'm technically on immunosuppressive medication (Skyrizi).
All vaccinated up for pneumococcal pneumonia and pertussis before seeing our newborn grandson.
Great to hear you are getting use of that arm back, Sam. TOAD is lonely.

Good Morning,
Afraid you are in a no-win situation Steve, if you put Collin out Connie will be upset and if you don't, she is upset; but afraid it is going to take tough love for him.
Woke up this morning and vision in left eye is clear again, arm still sore but overall doing much better.
Better to be safe than sorry Lee, but doctors enjoy loading one up with meds.0 -
Good morning gentlemen.
Glad your improvements continue, Sam.
I have no good suggestions for you, Steve.
I was awake half the night feeling sick to my stomach. Dragging this morning. I am sure a nap will help. I have an afternoon appointment with my glaucoma doc and he told me that this time he would dilate my pupils. Going to be a crummy day.0 -
Good luck with Connie in Leavenworth tonight.
Hope you have a wunderbar trip in Germany Lee!
Glad you are doing better Sam.
I don't know how I am going to manage my glaucoma eye drops with my upcoming eye surgery. They will do a surface biopsy excision of some corneal epithelium, cryo freeze it a bit and cover with a special healing amniotic membrane. Will put a crimp in my lifestyle for sure in a couple of weeks.
I was hoping to get a trabeculoplasty laser zap before the surgery but not likely to happen as referrals haven't been placed in time. hrmph!! Hard to see Docs and get stuff in a timely fashion.
Sorry you weren't feeling well last night Dave.
Hang in there guys!!!0 -
Good Morning
I am glad to hear of your continuing improvement Sam. Wonderful news.
Steve, you are indeed in a no win situation unless you two talk to him together. Either way it isn't easy.
We made a lot of progress these last two days packing. We escaped yesterday's heat and drove over to the Oakland Hills for a night of local musical theater in an amphitheater. One road in, one road out and the city decided to start charging a parking fee, cash only. We were cash poor, and I was going to turn around when the guy decided to let the car in. It was a limited parking. We created a space out of the way. Show was very enjoyable and it was good to be out. But we got home late. More organizing and packing the odds and ends down here. It is time to consolidate the furniture and boxes in separate areas so we can empty the kitchen remodel storage at Uhaul and bring it all back. Thankfully the heat is abating.0 -
Dang, Steve. I thought Collin was working. I must have missed where the last job didn't workout. I'm sure you have explored all the options through certain services.
I dunno what to say other than you may have to make a hard decision, and possibly unpopular.
