    Mornin'

Up TOO early this morning, 3:45, but it's a nice cool, clear summer dawn and the birds are singing, so might as well get going.

Long drive home yesterday from Pemaquid Point, dropping off little Lizzy and teen Marielle with their dads on my way. Spent a nice 7 days with some of my kids and grandkids. Camping was OK, as weather was foggy and hazy a lot, so things never dried out, but we went to the beach a few times, visited the local lighthouse, and saw a 1600's fishing village reenactment. Got to inspect a birchbark canoe, and went exploring in my canoe on a section of river there. Now, drying out my gear and cleaning the jammed zipper on my tent today, which got sandblasted from mud in two downpours there.

Making some coffee and a little breakfast, so I can wake up the rest of the way.

    Good morning!

Mike, it sounds like adventures were had by all. Your grandchildren will never forget this experience. You are an awesome grandpa.

Super busy these days here in Kansas. It is all good.

The rain, high humidity and heat are not so good. It has been brutal with the humidity. My arthritis has been on high alert for days now.

I'm glad that you had a positive experience with the oncologist, Bill. Prayers continue.

    Have a great day!

    Good morning gentlemen.

We're leaving tomorrow, to spend the weekend at Westport, over on the coast, with DS and family. No comping, this trip. We're staying in a nice hotel. Sassy will spend the weekend at the pet lodge. Several things need to be done before we go. No. 1 is mowing the lawn.

Got over to church, yesterday to sand and stain another of the benches. Next will be to clean and prime the metalwork.

    Good Morning

Mike is helping to raise another generation of campers and outdoors folk. Pretty cool.

Up way too early, but as usual I came down got comfortable and rested as much as I could. Today I will try to get some routines back on track after two weeks just getting by. Laundry, meal planning and shopping lead the list, and then some straightening out around here. The tree guys showed up at the end of their 2 hour window. They parked on the property behind ours, came over the fence and had what was left of the tree down and back over the fence in 15 minutes. They cut the stump at ground level. Their extensive cleanup of the sawdust involved a leaf blower blowing it into the garden area which made me laugh. Turns out the old birch showed visible signs of disease/rot in part of the stump. So I am glad we had it taken out.
