DS rented a U-Haul pickup truck and we got the piano straight from the doorsill over the stoop onto the tailgate, using my ramp. Pretty easy using the winch-lifter and furniture dolly. Similar at his house. Strapped it in good and tight, and drove off-highway, with no issues. It’s a 1950’s Kranich & Bach upright, not too tall or heavy. We cleaned it up inside and out, and, of course, it'll need tuning. We took it slow and rested in the AC of the truck on and off, to get out of the oppressive heat & humidity. My drive home afterwards was interrupted by a loud T-storm, with wind and heavy rain, so I stopped at an icecream stand for a black raspberry cone. There was a tornado watch from all the storms the area had.yesterday. Some folks had half-dollar size hail.

Another hot one today. Meeting up with a friend for lunch later.

Lee, good luck to your DDIL. Hope the baby comes soon...

    Good morning!

Mike, that is a gorgeous piano!

Lee, I'm glad that you made it safely and that you get to see your children.

Bill, I hope you did well yesterday. Congratulations to Heather today!

Bob, I pray that you have swift and complete healing.

I didn't even know that dew points could get into the 80s. It is a miserable stretch that we are in. I'm used to hot and even humid, but this is extreme. Some are starting to compare it to the dust bowl years of 1934 and 1935. It is not that bad, of course, but if people start dragging that talk out, you know it is hot.

With two work days left in July, I have June complete at work. I'm finally caught up with financials for the first time in my new job. And yes, I still love it. Real accounting, very limited payroll and HR.

    Have a great day!

    Mornin' gents.

    Actually, afternoon here already.
    Still waiting.
Good job moving the piano. Kids look happy.
Sorry about the neck pain. Wouldn't have thought you spent that much time in front of a computer monitor.
We are doing a lot of walking. Good for me.

    Be OP ;-)

Good morning gentlemen (and afternoon, Lee).

Trying to get painting contractor to touch up the places where he had to fix improper caulking. This is ridiculous. He was supposed to come 12 days ago, but said he was sick. Said he could come yesterday, if we were home. I told him we were - and nothing. I'm about to just paint the stuff myself. Then he'll probably ask for a referral. Ha!!

Spent some pleasant time in the shop turning the legs for the stool I am giving my DGD in two weeks. Next, I need to do the stretchers that go between the legs. Drilling the holes for those will be a challenge, a compound angle.

No heat issues, here, sunny and 80, again. We are getting near record lows every morning, at 49 degrees. The temp drops overnight because the humidity is so low - like in the desert. Good for comfort; bad for fire danger.

    Good Morning

I received good news yesterday. The PET Scan should no detectable spread beyond the prostate as the Oncologist thought. But there is a likelihood of microscopic spread. I made the final decision to go with the radiation treatment plan rather than removal of the prostate so I started the hormone injections yesterday. One on each side of my gut depositing the Firmagon deep under skin. Today is Heather's final day. I will be decorating the house to celebrate, picking up an over priced chocolate ice cream cake and having pepperoni pizza for dinner, her favorite.

    Cute grands Mike, beautiful piano.
    Continue prayers for Bob's healing.

Continues HOT and HUMID here, we need rain; not expected but they claim there is a chance due to heat afternoons.

Half dollar sized hail is terrible!!! Cute picture of Charlie and Will for sure!!!

Sounds like good news Bill. Glad you are celebrating Heather's last day at work. Nice.

Low 50s here in PDX so nice cooling night. Lo 80s again today like Dave. So nice.

They say were in in what some meteorologists call the Goldilocks zone weather wise. Not too hot and not too cold. Should bump up a bit starting Tuesday but not extreme.

Hey count your blessings when you can. There are wildfires around and so far not bad air here, but that could chnage with the wind directions.

    Thanks for the good thoughts.

Laughingly thinking of Lee and the veterinarians I sometimes say with various afflictions stuff like "well they shoot horses don't they!" Neigh neigh I say!!!
