    Good morning!

We received 2.2 inches of rain yesterday. Everything is soggy. It is supposed to be cooler for a couple of days, then heat back up into the 90s. No mention of rain in the 10-day forecast.

Lee, the cat cries a pitiful cry when she is in the car. We don't have a choice. She is quiet at the vet's office.

I cannot get my weight below 192.2. Very frustrating.

We are starting a new assistant this morning. I think that she will be awesome in her roll as a billing specialist.

The cat is not letting me type.

Prayers of healing for all of you!

    Mornin' gents.

Yup. Cats inhibit desk work and weight loss. Have you tried putting the cat down when you weigh yourself?
I'm really annoyed with one of my dogs this morning. She got jealous and jumped up and clawed me on the arm while I was releasing the other dog from the pen I keep her in outside while she is in heat. Now I have a deep and long wound on my forearm. It happened about 30 minutes ago and I am still pretty annoyed.
Sam, glad your church is so resilient. Me dad was fond of saying a church was the congregation and Christ, not the building, nor the name on the building.

    Be OP ;-)

    Good Morning,
Another beautiful sunny day, we are so blessed, so blessed it will be upper 90's with heat index 115. I'll be staying in air conditioned areas, way too hot for me.
Thinking about see someone about neck, if I make an appointment it will get better appointment.
Prayers continue for Bob and Bill.
    Hope arm heals quickly Lee.
Hope assistant is very proficient and gets along with everyone, Steve.

    Good morning gentlemen.

Going to be a hot one, here, today - 97 degrees. I saw that down in Oregon, it could hit 110 by mid-week. We don't get 2 inches of rain total over the entire summer, Steve. We had a "rainy" day last week. It registered as a trace, not even a hundredth of an inch.

No aftereffects from my Saturday hike, other than the ongoing issues with pain in my glute hip and leg. But that isn't due to the hike, it's from my spine/disc problems. I was dismayed by how many short breaks I had to take on the hike, especially on the upper part of the route. I was really slow, or felt so, anyway. When I apologized to my son for slowing him down and not being as fast as I have been in the past, he smiled at me and said that I have set the bar really high. I guess the most important thing is that I got where I intended to get, even if I was in plod mode much of the time.

This afternoon is DGD's 10th birthday party. It's going to be a pirate themed outdoor thing. We'll see how long I wear a scarf and eye patch out in the heat.

    Good Morning

Another hot one here as well, though it appears we will escape the stretch of triple digits that was originally forecasted. Clouds rolled it yesterday, humidity climbed in the late afternoon and then it rained for several minutes and cleared. Unusual for us. Spine, related back and nerve pain issues are not good but I am trying to stay off pain meds for now and resolve with movement, rest and healthy sitting postures that take pressure off the spine. Heather has a bone density scan this morning, then we will head to an early lunch and enjoy the retirement perk of going to the movies for a midweek matinee....Oppenheimer.

Sorry to hear about the arm Lee. I hope it is superficial and heals quickly.

There is a lot of healing needed in this group. Or perhaps an anti-aging serum.

Glad you are doing ok all things considered Dave. Argggggh Dave get on ya Pirate gear Matey!!!

Yup Bill ya sent the triple digits up north to Portland OR

Yup ooopsy with the arm injury Lee. I got one putting clothes into the washing machine where the lid cam down and the long thin sharpish metal projection that holds it shut when spinning at high speeds took some hide off my arm.
