    Good morning gentlemen.

Well, the neurosurgeon said my pain is not due to any structural problem. The MRI shows my discs are worn down normally for a 73-year-old former soldier, my nerves are in good shape. The pain, he thinks is caused by inflammation. It is a circular effect: inflammation causes pain, which causes more inflammation. He wants me to see a pain management specialist for injections to break that cycle, then use exercise, stretching and massage to prevent its return. He even mentioned yoga - a nod to you, Sam.

The grandkids are coming over this afternoon, and the whole family will be here for supper. Grilling chicken, with green beans from the garden and an apple pie from one of our trees.

That sounds like good news, Dave. Hopeful relief in sight, and nothing drastic needed for the treatment. Just some time and patience for the therapies to work.

PT this afternoon. I’ve been pretty good the last two weeks about the exercises, stretching and icing, but elbow is still no better. One more covered visit after this, in two weeks.

Gorgeous cool dry day here, high expected 75º. 100º+ in GA and KC is not allowed, sounds like AZ & NM, or Death Valley!

That sounds like a good report to me. Mine always says excessive degeneration. I am familiar with that
'circular effect'. Heather and I were just discussing it yesterday since she had been struggling. If you can interrupt the cycle and calm things down life is good. I am glad yours is not excessively degenerative.

In a one day nod to Steve, we are back approaching triple digit heat today but only for one day, then we quickly will return to mid 80's. Last night I made breakfast for dinner: eggs, sausage, home fries and buttermilk biscuits. I resumed trying to improve my biscuit making, though yesterdays were pretty damn good. They are all gone. I may need to make only half batches for the three of us. Cheddar biscuits are also on my radar. It is good to do some baking again. I am glad I unpacked some of my stuff. Next major bake will be a couple batches of cinnamon rolls for Heather's old preschool. So biscuits and various cinnamon breads to will keep me sane, along with my spiritual disciplines and trying to create a workout flow that will continue to help my knee, balance, hip & spine mobility and not kill me since epidurals for the spine issues are off the table till I am on the other side of my my cancer treatment.
